About the Holderness Family
The Holderness Family creates original music, parodies, and Vlogs for KZbin to poke fun of themselves and celebrate the absurdity in circumstances most families face in their day to day life. They published "Christmas Jammies" in December 2013 and life hasn't been the same. Since then, their popular parodies, "All About That Baste", "Baby Got Class," and original music "Snow Day" have received national news coverage. Penn, the Dad, took a chance and left his job as a news anchor to join his wife Kim, the Mom, at their video production and digital marketing company, Greenroom Communications, LLC. Lola and Penn Charles are always happy, respectful and eat all of their vegetables (that last sentence is a lie). Penn, Kim, Lola, and Penn Charles publish music videos, Vlogs and special KZbin challenges to this channel every weekday. Our viewers have become our family and we try our best to respond to comments, suggestions and special requests! Subscribe to be part of this crazy family! Thanks for being here.

We were hit with Hurricane Matthew. NO INTERNET! Cell phone towers and Comcast was down for days! There was no better feeling than that first hit of internet! Also little side story. We evacuated.Went to a little motel about 2 hours away...wound up with no lights and tornado sirens going off. And no hot water and no showers for 2 days....when the lights went off messed up the water system! But we survived...but never want to do this again! So happy all is good in your neighborhood...I know many people lost their lives in NC. Praying for quick recoveries.

I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!! 💗 We done lost our here power in the good 'ol town of Jacksonville, Florida which was NOT FUN so I feel your pain!! However, unlike Hurricane Charley in Punta Gorda, Florida when I lost my house, my marriage and damaged my car, losing power was very, very minor. Nonetheless, I LOVE HAVING POWER!!!! 💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡💡YIPPIEEE!!!!!

Glad ya'll are safe and your power is back. We are a little further west towards Charlotte and were blessed with no power outages just tree damage. However, we are still sitting back watching the water rise around our family in Goldsboro, Greenville etc. It's so sad what the hurricane did to our beautiful state.

I feel you guys. When Sandy came through NJ, we were out of power for over a week. Unfortunately for us, it was much colder and we had to flee to Pennsylvania after a number of days because the house got down to 50 degrees. Eventually got a generator and have it plugged into my main breaker so I never have to go through that again.

I live in Texas. We used to have a huge, fat tree in the front yard when Ike hit. That Saturday morning, I looked out my window and saw that tree toppled over. Apparently it had had very shallow roots. The pine trees had all pretty much stayed intact because they were flexible and could sway with the wind. But this huge, stiff tree insisted on staying upright, so the wind blew it over. Fortunately it went towards the street, rather than onto our house. Unfortunately for our neighbor across the street, who had moved his pickup to the street in front of our house the day before. The tree spanned our huge front yard and hit the roof of his truck, totalling it and blocking both lanes of our street. Later that day, a couple of neighbors brought little hand saws out and cut off the very top branches of the tree, which were blocking the far lane of the street. Sometime after that, the county volunteer fire department came with chainsaws and cut up the rest of the tree for us.

Hi, I live in Fayetteville, NC. Didn't know the hurricane went so far northwest of here. :D It was awful down here, especially in poor Lumberton, and they are still not right. It inspired my son and I to go and start volunteering for the Red Cross. We were under a "boil water" advisory for about a week, and I was so happy to get safe water on again!

My brother is in Mt Olive. That fallen tree - yeah, he had that too, hung up over power lines, and his house turned into lakefront property submerging the property and family graveyard on 3 sides going up the porch 3' off the ground. It nearly made it into the house (elevated above ground). The water line was higher than it was for hurricanes Floyd or Hugo.

I live just outside Savannah, Ga and it was pretty rough here as well. We were lucky that we had power after a couple days but many other people went 5 plus days without it as well. I had that exact same joy when switching on a light switch when it came back on. 😊

So I live in the mountains of San Diego and we never have hurricanes. But we do have these huge wind storms (wind bursts from50-100mph) up here and The power company will turn off the power due to fear of downed power lines that will cause huge devastating fires. The power grid I am on is usually the first to go off and the last to come back on. A lot of ppl out here are on wells so if there’s no power there’s no water. I think the longest we’ve gone without power is 7 days.
