That’s a great review Kaitlyn. The only thing I would comment is about questioning you if you’re married or not just because you’re beautiful young lady. They probably won’t ask all foreigners the same question but you’re exception 😊. Tajiks love positive people and you’re right about changing the subject with ease and positivity coz it does really work like everywhere. Stay cool Kaitlyn. P.S.- OVR is real and I wish I watched your content before I traveled to Tajikistan (and I’m Tajik) coz I did fail to register within 10 days and had to deal with consequences. So long!😊

Здравствуйте, дорогая Кейтлин. 800 долларов для местных жителей - это большие деньги, если у семьи есть хозяйство и собственный дом, они могут прожить на эти деньги 2-3 месяца.

@@KGonthego Hi Kaitlyn, nice video, love the work that you do. Is it possible though to live a comfortable life as a solo expat on $800 in Dushanbe. With the rent being up to $1000, I guess it’s quite difficult. Would love to hear what you have to say about it. Love you and your content. All the energy and support to you 😊
@anushervoniodil38214 ай бұрын
Hi Kaitlyn. Thanks for the video. For safety, I absolutely agree that it is quite safe. However, at night, car crashes can happen. I would highly recommend not to commute after 10 pm. Speaking of 800$, I see many people commenting that you might live like a king and whatsoever, but frankly, it's not as cheap as people think. Indeed, some manage to live for 200$ per month, but they don't go out, nor do they have diverse food on their table. As far as I know, some don't even consume cheese or beef, which is pretty sad. Overall, it's good to see how you objectively inform people from Western countries how Tajikistan is from the eyes of Western people. Enjoy your stay and enjoy delicious food.😊

Thanks for this! How bad is the air pollution there? Also is it crucial that I know Farsi or Russian, or would Google Translate and some creative miming be enough 😅? Also do you see men wearing shorts (I'm male)?

@KGonthego Жыл бұрын
Hiiiii! The air pollution unfortunately is as bad as you think. It was very very bad in the summer, I recommend taking a very good quality mask to wear in the city, or postponing your trip to September or October which seek to be the best months. Google translate will work, but learn a few phrases as it will make everyone very happy 😊😁

I live in Tajikistan and living on 800 dollars a month means you live a rich foreigners life here. I'm a foreigner too and most people live here on maybe less than 200 dollars a month and if you are a foreigner of course some things are more expensive but not up to 800 dollars.. Lol.. You can live in this country so much cheaper than that... But I guess Americans are used to a much richer lifestyle than other people
@KGonthego5 ай бұрын
You certainly can live cheaper! This was meant for western viewers. I wouldn’t say $800 a month is rich- maybe upper class, but not downtown etc 😊

How come the comments here are in Russian but not Tajik Cyrillic? Don't Tajiks use Cyrillic to write in Persian?
@KGonthego11 ай бұрын
I’m not sure which comments you are talking about! Tajiks speak Russian and Tajik, and yes, Tajik is using the Cyrillic alphabet with a few different letters. Some Tajiks also know the Latin alphabet and for that reason type it in Latin so it would be easier for me to read if they think I can’t read Tajik 😄 the ones speaking Russian just aren’t thinking…because I don’t speak Russian haha! hope that answers your question
