There is a so called >penny dinner place < in central Dublin that do 3 course substantial dinners for one Euro around mid-day .Its mainly for the homeless ,but they give to anybody who comes .Another place in Temple Bar of all places called Focus do meals daily for 80c . I was homeless myself for 8 months in Dublin ,back in 2019

It's criminal how our government are handling this homeless crisis, government after government coming and still not addressing the situation, also, and I know this is gonna sound heartless, but they seem to prioritise incoming refugees from other countries over those who they should be helping first. Penneys is the name of the company. Primark is what they had to change their name to when going to foreign counties (ie UK) Penneys is an Irish company and that’s its original name. But they operate out of different countries. It’s like Walmart being called ASDA in the UK. It says Penneys on her top too.

If you head upto the Capuchin priory on Church st you can get a meal for free. It's set up for the homeless but open to everyone. Brother Kevin never turns anyone in need away.

You can go to Tesco and buy a bag of pasta for 25p, a jar of value pasta sauce for 36p, and an onlion, that’s 2 meals. A 5 pack of ramen noodles for £1 in pound land.. part of several meals. Individual fruit and veg items for pennies. A loaf of bread for 30p. You can get a lot for £1. For £5 you can eat for a week 🤷🏻‍♀️. If you go to the supermarket just before closing time, there’s a lot of stuff for pennies, and if you miss that, then they throw it all out, check the dumpsters out the back for lots of stuff past their sell by date but not past their use by date. The bakeries are ideal for that.

Price livening peoole not going out as much Over all can do it money tight me and husband would shop in Lidit keep shopping under 60 week! But 😂 never been to Dublin ever am from Derry witch is about 4 hours away.
