Just have female wardens guard women prisoners and male wardens guard male prisoners. This is not rocket science.

problem starts when we women demand equality and over look our safety. being male does not guarantee safety but its worse for females. These prisoners are sex deprived, they are rapists & murderers who have no conscience at all. A life sentence is useless when your loved one is dead. Only the death penalty could resolve this but, since our SAPS is rotten : innocents will die for crimes they did not commit , so SA is fast become a hell hole for women in general

What happens when "woke" starts to supersede common sense. The fact that male guards have guard both inmates and their female colleagues and yet still get paid the same as their female colleagues shows who belongs there and who doesn't.

This is horrific! The issue lies in the fact that prisoners/criminals have nothing to fear. If they've got nothing to fear, they'll continue to cause harm and instil fear in society. Sentencing them to longer terms in prison is simply not enough.

Under staffing and lack of enough male members.Shortage of securety equipment.The department has failed us as members.As a male member I find myself often alone in a maximum security section.On a good day we wil be 3 male members in a section with 450 maximum offenders.Management simply dont care

That sounds like a horrific situation for the wardens regardless of whether you are male or female! Who can be expected to guard even children with a ratio of 150 to 1, let alone grown men.

This is one job that I honestly feel should be for men only & even within men,the must be required to be extremely physically & mentally fit. They must be combat trained because going into a prison is to is like entering a no go zone/ war zone. Some prisoners are the worst of the worst and deserve the death penalty but, since our constitution does not allow for such,they get life in imprisonment and have absolutely nothing to loose.

Thats the whole point. Why risk your life? Just because you want to prove a point that you are equal to a male? Physically females are not equal to men, whether the world likes it or not. So for as long as we keep denying that, we will never stop burying our sisters and mothers.
