Fun Fact: The ghosts you saw in the mineshaft are from the Alex Mobs mod! They're relatively passive mobs that have died in the mineshafts and forever roam them confused on where they're going, except that they have to look for something to mine. When killed they drop a ghostly pickaxe, which is actually kind of a good pickaxe! It's really hard to kill them though since they disappear around survival players.

@@Someone-or8tp DUDE STOP THAT'S LEGITIMATELY HORRIFYING LMAO Imagine you're just like, mining or some shit, and you come across this opening and the first thing that hits you is the *smell*. So morbid curiosity begs you take a look and when you look at it it's just this-- this shrine. Not just any shrine, but a shrine of *you*, every single item you'd ever lost being held aloft with the sort of reverence held only for priests and leaders. It's lit by torches in just the most odd of places, hung way further than you'd be able to reach. So you look at what it's actually made out of, because there has to be SOME sort of base, and it's just-- bones. It's made out of bones, and they're not even *clean*, they look as if they were ripped straight out of the animal and placed wherever they'd fit. They are the bones of every single animal that you'd ever killed, their corpses pilfered for their materials after you'd taken what you needed, the very fact that they were *touched* by you making them one of the most precious things on earth. You get the horrible realization that, whatever this thing is, it's been following you *this entire time*-- --and then you are suddenly *very* aware that the cave only has one exit, and something tall is blocking it.

3:26 Derp moment Tips: You can use the string from the spiderwebs to make a fishing rod, make a bucket and collect a bunch of water to make a infinite water source, then make a small pond to fish in. Boom, food problem solved! It can also get you a bunch of different items you might not be able to get otherwise. Also like everyone else in the comments is saying, use the dirt you find to make a melon/pumpkin farm. This way you have another food option, and you can use the pumpkins and any iron you find to make iron golems as a form of protection.
