Survivor: Caramoan red carpet Boston Rob Mariano discusses his book - 'The Boston Rob Rulebook'

When Boston Rob Mariano appeared on the Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans Vs. Favorites live reunion show, we were all asking the same question: Was the rulebook he gave Phillip Sheppard the real deal? Turns out, it actually is. "The Boston Rob Rulebook: Strategies For Life" is a 75-page book that offers up various tips and advice, some of which include: know who you are, be a risk taker, nobody likes a crybaby, zip it, get organized and family comes first, always. Boston Rob says his motivation for writing the book came after watching Phillip create the "BR Rules" while competing on Survivor: Caramoan -- Fans Vs. Favorites. I had the chance to chat with the Survivor: Redemption Island champ on the red carpet of the Survivor: Caramoan finale in which he gushed about the life lessons that fill his book. He also explained why he thinks Cochran was a deserving winner, discusses that he believes he could win the game again and revealed where he was the day of the fatal Boston Marathon explosions.

If you belive that rob wouldnt have won on zaptera, you know nothing about survivor, rob domonated his tribes in all season go back and watch, rob controls the majorty on every season, and despute poplarbelife rob had always had a great social game, even on all stars, he would have own if the switch happened to any one but amber. Truley the greatest to ever play surviver, none is even close

Russel is a great strategist, but hes just not self aware at all, he probably has one of the worst social games ever. A huge part of the game is reading the jury members and knowing what kind of person they would vote for. If you alienate everyone so much that they would rather vote for natalie or sandra over you, then you are doing something terribly wrong. He could have played the same game without being such a dick about it and he would have won both times. He tried to play the same game here

Even sandra said that incase Rob played with experienced player she said he might have a hard time winning. It was lucky that Russel was assigned to more matured players. Unlike Boston tribe most of them are young. Unfortunately, tribe of Russel received karma for strategically losing so they could vote him out but they didnt focus on winning to empower their tribe.moral get low. Hunger. Etc. so RH got his revenge to each and everyone of them. But what amazes me is that how Rob tried to adjust himself to new generations of survivor rules. And was able to convince jury to vote for him straight. But for me, overall, i still think Parvati is the best player of survivor. I love sandra. But parvati is the best even compared to Boston Rob.

oh come on! the final IC on Survivor RI, we both all know that that challenge was clearly made for him. It was a puzzle challenge and Boston Rob was obviously good with that. It took him 4 times to win Survivor...

Most true Survivor fans know that BR won because he was put in a tribe that was very friendly (post interviews show all his initial tribe mates considered themselves BR fans), yet Russell Hantz tribe did not have 1 fan of himself. In fact , most of those also had a favorable opinion of BR. That season was a sham, a retaliation for how RH embarrassed BR in Heroes vs. Villians. Remember, Jeff Probst & BR are best of friends. Just sayin' & keeping it real.

I'm not disputing RH's abrasiveness, what I'm saying is that he beat BR head to head & embarrassed him in HvV. Survivor immediately schemed with BR to make a season vs. RH, which was clearly stacked. BTW, I'm a Parvati fan, but think RH did what no one else has, get BR out. And in style too.

Amber is a previous winner who has played two seasons of Survivor and two seasons of The Amazing Race. And she's about to be on Survivor Season 40. Amber matters. As for Andrea, yes they should have asked about her. Rob and her keep in contact.

you rh fans ky are ridiculous if you think russell dominated rob in hvv. Russell cant play the game without a hidden immunity idol. His game is transparent, and he was lucky that he played hvv without anyone watching how how he played. Also parvarti was as in on the plan as russell and is better than him. Russell gets quote on quote help from the producers with his immunity idols and without him hes nothing. His game was good in somoa and went down hill afterwords. Rob plays to win, and russell plays to get to the end!! So if you think hes better you might need to watch. He couldnt even win at redemption island which was taylor made for him, not one duel. Lastly , zapatera was a great fit for him becuase it was a stronger and better tribe. If he adapts his game to the tribe like rob did he would of made a deep run. Hel couldnt cause hes a one trick pony, whos game became known and squashed. Rob is better no dicussion whatsoever!!

I agree with what you said. Russell's game never was as great as he believed it do be but every season it got worse and worse. In Samoa he definitely did things right. He was thinking strategically a lot more than the rest of his tribe was and he did have a part in overcoming an 8-4 numbers disadvantage after the merge, but big shocker Natalie the pretty, friendly southern girl is better at making friends than him and that's an essential part of the game, earning respect. The only players that respected Russell voted for him in Samoa. In Heroes vs. Villains, even though they didn't see him play they quickly saw right through him and he had a target on his back after Randy left. But he wasn't nearly in control as he thought he was. Parvati was playing the game just as hard and he was dumb to vote off Courtney instead of Sandra. Sandra had more heroic traits than probably any other villain, so who would the Heroes (and Courtney) vote for to win in an all villain final 3? Sandra. And then his 3rd time Russell thinks he's gonna breeze by but Ralph Sarita David Julia Mike and Steve weren't as stupid as he thought and they got rid of him right away (although they shouldn't have thrown the challenge, especially when you have Boston Rob brainwashing his whole tribe over there ready to dominate the merge if he's got the numbers).

It was such a great season but they spend aaaaaaaaall the time interviewing Boston Rob and ripping poor Dawn. HE DIDN'T EVEN PLAYED IN THAT SEASON, for the love of God.
