What is with all the negativity, Jamison's voice was unique and full of soul but Cameron sang his ass off in Kalamazoo last night! Don't judge him until you have seen him live. Rock is dying and we need artist like him to keep it alive.

Yes, he does sing his ass off. Good voice. But he also defers to Sullivan like a little boy while Sullivan jumps up and down like the balding goofball he is. Cameron needs to OWN THE STAGE. What's with this staying in the back like his leg is leashed to the drummer's box? Get out in front and dominate. 80's Rock was great because performers like Jamison OWNED THE STAGE. If Cameron doesn't start getting out there, he's headed straight back to singing in his old St. Louis country western bars.

This dude on the mic is incredible. It's not up for debate. His voice is remarkably strong and the range is impeccable. For anyone to come on here and criticize him negatively is foolish. He's hitting notes that so few humans can even touch. If you've put him down in the comments, rest assured with a voice like that, he could have your mother eating out his hand.

The kid is great. No question about it. And there is all this talk about Sullivan's guitar playing. Just take a listen to the High High High harmonies. That's NOT the kids voice. That is Frankie Sullivan's voice and it DOES sound eerily similar to Jimi"s voice. His singing parts often go unnoticed but he is a fantastic singer. High tenor voice

I understand where you are coming from, I feel that way about Foreigner. Unfortunately, most of the bands I go see these days who have been around for awhile are like that. Hard to name more than a handful who have all or most of their original members. Still an enjoyable evening of live music, though.

Professor MiJ Wong Jamison had so much more power and soul in his voice. No one can touch Jimi except maybe Perry but even Perry blew out his voice. Jimi lost no range with age.

Whoever the sound engineer for this concert was, he/she was an idiot. The music is NOT suppose to drown out the lead singer's voice. You can barely hear Cameron for the music. If a singer doesn't have the natural volume in their voice, you compensate with mic volume. You are ALWAYS suppose to hear the Lead Singer's voice over everything.

Immense potential in that singer. I think he's not quite out of his shell yet, and the nerves are really driving his voice sharp. With experience I think that will improve, and hopefully a little more confidence will bring out a showman as well.

Why hasn't Survivor released anything since 2006? Jamison released several since then until his passing in 2013, and Jim Peterik has also with Pride of Lions, World Stage, The Ides of March, the Peterik-Sherer release. I realize its a lot of work to record songs, but surely should not take 14 years

While Jimi is irreplaceable, Cameron does a great job! It's difficult to put yourself out there when replacing an awesome frontman. Think of Arnel Pineda of Journey replacing the one and only Steve Perry🤩! Cameron's voice and stage presence should evolve as time goes on. Props to him!! I just LOVE long hair on guys! He should just grow his hair longer, like down to his waist - YUMMY😋🥰🤩!!!!

voice has high range.. but very different, not much power and authority, also flat/ sharp most of the time...like it's coming from a shallow source.. probably the throat, not from deeper in the diaphragm like Jimi. I know he's dead but replacement should have something similar in quality to offer...like Journey's Arnel.

Ugh, this kid can sing. I'll give him that. He's got great range. He has almost boundless vocal energy. BUT, he clearly has polishing to do with his singing technique. Plus he needs to really learn how to command the stage. Bickler did that with his voice. Jamison did that with his bravado. I think he can be a great solo artist, singing Adult Contemporary tunes, stuff that doesn't require him to move or really explore the stage. With his natural talent, he can really wow people and get a career with just his voice carrying him. He's not good for rock. With his vocal tone, he sounds more like the guy from Air Supply. Anyway, i wish him luck and I hope it ends up becoming what he wants to do. I don't want his tenure to be short-lived. This kind of investment is a big one for a guy that's 20 (Now he's 23).

He has been acting like he's high on something for a while now. Plus his guitar playing has been really shitty. People complaining about Cameron, when they really need to be complaining about him instead. I don't know what they're expecting from Cameron, they need to give him a break. He's filling some mighty big shoes. He's not going to sing like Jimi .Because he ISN'T JIMI ! But he's doing a fine job. And if any of you expect him to forget it. Nobody ever will have a voice quite like he did . Give Cameron the respect he deserves. I'm sure all of the ones who have negative things to say about him can't even sing a note if you tried. You only wish that you could !

Nope. He has an OK voice, but he sings like he’s on Broadway and has a very stale emotion. He’s not even close.
