It REALLY sucks that MST experienced lag. And Netease needs to fix their ping issues and improve their moderation. As things are now, it is not fair at all and teams can't compete to the best of their ability due to factors they can't control like ping. However, emoting, choosing joke picks, and throwing is not the appropriate or professional response. Even when you've been fucked over. It hurts, is really unfair, and their frustration combined with exhaustion is completely understandable but what MST did will not improve things for NAEU. The point of a tournament is to play at the highest level possible and to showcase your skills to the best of your ability. And you get rewarded for how well you do with prize money. Netease is paying the teams for how well they do. If the behaviour of top level players in NAEU is to throw/emote and not take the tournament seriously (even though the teams got screwed over by ping and bad moderation), Netease will understandably decide "what's the point in investing in NAEU? We're giving prize money for teams to showcase their skills at the highest level. If what NAEU has to offer is that the 2nd best team in the server emotes, choses joke picks, and doesn't play seriously....lets not bother investing in NAEU servers or give better prizes/incentives to compete. After all, if the 2nd place team that is getting over 2k is not playing seriously, we just wasted that money." What MST (& other teams & the server as a collective) could tell Netease to encourage investment is maybe something like, "We experienced a lot of lag issues that did not allow us to play at our best. The point of a tournament is for us to showcase our skills to the very best of our ability. We experienced some poor moderation that led to us not being able to provide you with the best gameplay that we know we were capable of had we been given the chance to play without lag or if moderation stepped in when we requested support. If the servers could be improved, we know we are capable of providing you with more exciting and incredible matches! We could bring in way more viewers to the NAEU streams through these higher quality matches, so please see this as an investment that will pay off. NAEU is capable of high-level gameplay on par with China & Japan, if given the resources and the chance. Invest in better servers, invest in bigger prize pools, invest in NAEU, so we can prove to you how capable we are when given a fair chance and you won't regret it!"

I agree the behavior wasn't the best but tbf China teams have also made joke picks in tournaments, the most common is choosing hell ember as hunter or doctor, gardener, thief and lawyer as survs. Emoting is not that common but it also happens, they Salute at the winning time on endgame or pull a threat if they win and the opponent was really good. Being honest, I don't think netease will ever care about Naeu, we are not the target market nor the biggest consumers Aka money makers, even if we try reaching to them. MST behavior, though embarrassing, will not give a lesser opinion of Naeu than Netease already has of us
