It has not felt like Survivor Series since the Wargames concept was introduced. I wish WWE would bring back the traditional elimination style matches. The women's match should have been traditional elimination style as it had no business being a Wargames match. Also, this practice of everyone looking for weapons under the ring while their partners are getting stomped needs to stop. If you need weapons to make the match interesting then the match does not need to happen.

The simultaneous dives by Iyo and Tiffany sucked for two reasons: the director couldn't focus on one or another and let's face it, when you're diving onto four wrestlers, it's obvious that you're not "wiping them out", they're CATCHING you. It breaks the moment. A single high-crossbody or suicida can be cool; that's an attack. Four clucks standing around close together, just waiting to get hit looks FAKE. The fake cash-in COULD have been cool, since the idea is that Tiffy wants to cash in, Raquel tells her to focus on the match, Iyo uses the fire extinguisher, and the cloud lets Rhea handcuff Raquel, giving a major advantage. Alas, the director wasn't focused on Rhea and Raquel, which is the payoff here, and we had to go back and find a replay to show later on. Poor planning. After the first match, we hear Cole bragging on the size of the crowd and how it's their best arena show in Canada EVER. Yeah, except that Survivor Series should be a STADIUM show, like the others in the "Big Four". Rumble was in a stadium, WM was in a stadium, SummerSlam was in a stadium…but this was NEXT TO a stadium. (The stadium looked great in those aerial shots, and then you remembered that WWE is actually in the dinky arena next door. Had to love the Canadian guy on the preshow being all "maybe next time you can be in the stadium", highlighting how lame this was.) Shinsuke-LA Shoes was fine as a result, but yeah, Shaun-Slade-Eli-Max-LA didn't seem to be giving his all, and of course, there's no reason to have this instead of Cody v. Kevin. Nice finish using the ring setup (the metal strip between the rings), though. There's no reason this has to be the end of the feud, though. They can have them battle back and forth for a while. Just don't let it be all yap and no slap, the way they've done with Liv and Rhea. Threeway was easily the best match of the night. My only complaint is that they should have let Ludwig hist more MOVES, not just interference and heel tactics. Any of the three results would have been fine, but let Ludwig state his case. I feel like he got short-changed. (Oh and had to love Sheamus losing count and giving Kaiser ELEVEN beats by mistake, lol.) How did you not get the biggest botch of the night…the fact that they couldn't decide WHICH SHOULDER PRIEST HURT?? Priest did a shoulder tackle with his RIGHT shoulder and sold the injury there, then Gunther threw DP's LEFT shoulder into the post and worked THAT one, then Gunther was working both shoulders, then Priest tries the South of Heaven but can't because his RIGHT shoulder hurts too much, but then Gunther puts the Kimora on the LEFT shoulder and Cole and Cory say THAT is the injured shoulder and so on. SOMEBODY fucked up here, big time. Annoying. The final match was fairly yawn-worthy. Punk saved Roman, woo-hoo. If I gave a shit about either of them, I might care. The treatment of Heyman as a FACE was bizarre; this is like David Flair trying to charge Hogan up during that crappy Hogan-Flair double-turn at Spring Stampede '99. Blah, blah, spotfest, blah-blah. At the end, the "heroes" win, if you forget that Sami actually HATED being in the Bloodline because Roman was such a p.o.s. that Sami ended up smacking him with a chair, to worldwide cheers, only to FAIL against Roman in front of Canada and the hero part there was that Sami and Kevin main-evented WM Night 1 and ended the Usos as a tag-team. But no, those were "the happiest days of Sami's life", he now says. I grant you, Sami is sometimes written as if he's mentally ill, but that's supposed to be when he's a heel, not this nonsense. So our "heroes" (an abuser, a jackass, two brothers who reconciled a little too swiftly, and Sami gone delusional) have their pro forma win, exit the cage, do a little silly pose and…that's it. No shock return, no big plot twist anywhere on the card, and Cody's name is never mentioned except during the Gunther match. Seth Rollins, among the top 5 wrestlers in the company, who has issues Roman and Punk and Fat Boy Reed, never shows and doesn't work a Big Four Event, nor does, The Face of the Company. I've seen more impressive Fastlanes. Blech. I suppose it makes a good teaser for the Samoan Wrestling Federation, though. If you want to spin this off into the cast of a separate series and have these guys stay on their show and everybody who wasn't here be on a different one, that's cool. I'll be sad to lose Breakker and Liv and Gunther and Shinsuke, but I'll live without them, if that's the price I have to pay for letting the rest of this crew Yeet tf out of my show. Bye, y'all! Don't write!

Nah everyone was begging for nakamura & worried he retired or some so they hurried & got him back. Knights reign was fun , should’ve been longer but it was fun, he put in bangers with the few people he was given. Also the way he came out pissed & dropped the belt let me knew he was gonna lose , knight is never that pissed or had dropped the belt before

i actually enjoyed the shinsuke LA knight match. I think the story that could come out of it is great. Shinsukes biggest weakness is really just the language barrier. They could get him a mouthpiece or make a stable. Most wrestlers are so boring at least shinsuke has a unique vibe.

I was disappointed by Women's because Rhea easily stole the show but I was impressed with Raquel being able to do stuff while cuffed to the ropes. I would have preferred Nia to be last one out of the Team Liv cage to decimate everyone in the ring including her own teammates as well as tossing Tiffy's briefcase out.

The issue with WWE rite now is it’s just so generic and PG to the point it just feels like this cookie cutter generic product, none of the main talent seem truly menacing or come across as legit bad asses it’s like all these superstars can “wrestle” and perform well but there’s no soul or energy in it also another thing that’s super fucking lame is when your watching the main event and your seeing these guys use other people’s signature moves like the super kick OVER And OVER AGAIN these matches hardly have any tension to them or intensity. It’s almost like this company has become some kinda chucky cheese version of hooters or something it makes no sense…at a certain point they have to stop catering to 5-10 year old children I know for a fact there’s a MASSIVE audience of people who would watch this but are turned off by the hyper PG aspects. Idk man it’s like the best way I can put it is the difference between talent today and even in the early 2000s is like the difference between a father who is an entrepreneur and starts a multimillion dollar company versus his spoiled brat son who takes over the company.

I will say this. I'm not a huge Cody fan either. But to me I found it refreshing that Cody wasn't on this card. He has been on every PLE since winning the title and I am bored with seeing him. If he wins, it seems like "Duh. Of course he wind. He's protected." And if he loses the title isn't on the line so it doesn't matter. I would have much preferred seeing the next step in the Kevin Owen's feud. I would rather have had that than L.A./Shinske which had no build whatsoever. But I will say this. We don't know what else is going on in the wrestlers' lives. For all we know,Cody said to WWE "Hey I'm here for you guys all year long but just this once I'd like to be home for Thanksgiving weekend." And I think it is fair for him to ask that. Since it's a year round thing and they can't schedule time with their families unless they get injured. So the smart thing for WWE to do is schedule their people so there is enough talent on the show that we don't notice who is missing which should be easy given how deep the bench is. We all want to see the A listers on every PLE but I get it. And it would also get boring if it was the same dudes every time.

I mean I think most of the matches were okay and it had a decent progression, the women's match was a trash fire that got a bit better towards the end, the US title match was okay if a little short, the world heavyweight title match had a few boxes but I think it was good all around, and then the main event felt like they saw that women's match and spend all night practicing their spots just to make sure they got it perfect, because at least to me that was a masterpiece storytelling and I love that men's war games match.

Words from a long time fan. Even though I don't follow the product consistently like I did back in the day, out of sheer curiosity, I decided to watch the main event only, and it was 45 minutes of my life I'll never get back. Check this here, I tried my best not to be so over-critical, but that match did NOT need to be in WarGames. It was worked at a very slow, deliberate pace, there was no blood, the cage was barely used as a weapon, and most of the wrestlers were trying too hard under the circumstances. It would've been better served as a traditional Survivor Series tag team elimination match if you ask me. WarGames traditionally signaled the end of a feud, but I'm not convinced this match ends the Bloodline saga, meaning they may take this into Wrestlemania. And now when I think about it, the new Bloodline would be so directionless without this storyline. Overall, I wasn't impressed. You wanna see a real WarGames match, revisit the match between the Dangerous Alliance and Sting's Squadron from Wrestle War 1992.😢

WWE was in a hotbed of activity for the history of Professional Wrestling (Jack Tunney, the on-screen "President of the WWF" if the 80's and mid 90's, was a former owner of that particular territory in Canada that VKMJ had eyes on for conquering,) and they STILL couldn't get over! This is LITERALLY Hulk Hogan territory and they couldn't get ANYTHING in terms of eyes nor pops from the crowd. I hope this serves as a referendum to the whole Triple H booking and makes him really question about stepping down.

The Matches IMO 1 - Woman's War Games = It was terrible. Only a few moments were good but 95% of the match was just slow and super weak hits. Also let's not forget the teams in general should have been way more arguing with each other but barely anything like that. And this whole Tiffinay's MITB tease again? No. 2/10. 2 - LA Knight vs Shinsuke = Second worst match here. The most rushed match and it wasn't even that good of a match. It felt slow and sluggish. I personally think LA Knight should have won but by DQ. As Shinsuke should have sprayed mist in his face. It will keep the title on Knight but kept Shinsuke strong. To be honest this fight was so bad it couldn't even main event a Raw or SmackDown. 3/10 3 - Bron Breaker vs Sheamus vs Ludwig = This match was amazing! I usually dont like triple threats but this one? Was top tier. The way they fought was fast but also athletic and hard. 8/10 4 - Gunther vs Damien Priest = The match was boring and typical and the ending was terrible. Finn AGAIN interfered costing Priest the title again. Though I do give them props as Gunther booted Finn. 5/10 5 - Men's War Games = The best match of the match! I LOVE the dynamic between both teams as well as the two 'hot heads' of Roman and Punk but heads multiple times but their was a sign of respect of each other toward the end. 9/10

It's only been war games for the last few years. But if you must know it is a big 4 show because it was the second ever WWF ppv after Wrestlemania and positioned in November to compete directly with WCW's starrcade. The purpose of the survivor series and now war games matches is as a way to extend rivalries without having a conclusive singles match. The original feud Survivor Series began with was Hogan/Andre. They have always struggled to make it interesting with many years the PPV being pretty much indistinguishable from any other B PPV. War games is just a new way to make it feel significant. If you have 2 factions that are over it's simply a dramatic way for them to face off. The reward is that one of the teams wins. Prior to war games it would just be a "survivor series elimination match" WWF's original answer to war games.

Nia has been criticized for being a bad worker in the past, so she intentionally hit weak-looking chair shots to avoid actually hurting someone, because I'm sure if she did a real chair shot there's a chance she could have actually injured someone and she might be aware of that.
