In this video, I run through every season of Survivor US and analyze the DVD Covers of each of those seasons and discussion who I think would have made the cover for seasons without traditional DVD covers.

I will stand by it forever, if they wanted to sell DVDs, especially for a not-so-great season, put Jimmy Johnson on the Nicaragua cover. Random Cowboys fans see him and want to support their team. And hey, if they like that season, then we have them.

the fact that they switched over to a formatt to show every player on ioi where if i was production theres a certain player who i would not want to associate with the season if i wanted to sell dvds is odd

Fun Fact: The person at the top on the middle is the winner of the season (unless it’s the Pearl Islands cover for some reason, instead they put Rupert, the 8th placer).

interesting idea ! some hypothetical covers from seasons i've seen (potential spoilers ahead): south africa phillipines: jeanne, tom, werner, palesa, katinka, pk (last two could also go to analiese, tevin, or toni, with the latter being most likely if they're favoring returnees) south africa island of secrets: rob, nicole, steffi, dante, meryl, mike (again if they're favoring returnees, the last spot could go to tania or felix instead) australian survivor 2017: michelle, tara, luke, locky, jericho, henry australian survivor hvv: shonee, george, simon, liz, nina, hayley (shaun could easily take the place of nina or hayley but i favorited them because one's a winner and the other went out in tragically anticlimactic fashion that left fans wanting more + is the daughter of survivor royalty -- matt or gerry could also get one of those spots but i don't get the vibe production loved either) australian survivor titans v rebels: mark, kirby, feras, caroline, valeria, alex (probably the easiest one to compile since these are more or less the only six people to get a proper edit -- would greatly prefer raymond in the alex or valeria spot but trying to be realistic here)

I’ve always wondered why covers weren’t organized like the theme (Amazon & Vanuatu show 3 men vs 3 women, 3 Fans vs 3 Favs, HvV, does not always work, for sure!, but at least many times would sell the seasons more and perhaps spoil it less. (Nowadays I can’t remember the difference between seasons 41-46 without the themes!)

Maybe that’s how it should be. But they would definitely go with legacy and have atleast 2/3 of Sandra, Rob, and parvati. Probably Tony, Natalie, Michele locked. Rob, Parv/Sandra, and maybe Sarah if they cut parv or Sandra.

@@gregatkins2156 I doubt Rob, Sandra, or Parvati would make the cover. It made sense for season 20 and for season 43 but for 40 your legacy players are Tony, Sarah, Jeremy, and Natalie. Thats the new school equivalent to Rob, Sandra, and Parvati. I don’t believe they’d go for old school legacy. Especially when they were eliminated so soon.

The redemption island cast is so bad and so forgettable that I actually think Francesca makes sense on the cover even without her return. Like no one else did anything notable or was important enough to gain themselves a top 6 spot which speaks volumes.

In another world going by how they usually do the DVD covers I would say Rob, Philip, Russell, Natalie, and Matt on the cover. And then maybe David Murphy or Ralph? David as one of the smarter members of that alliance and Ralph as the one who “took down” Russell with his idol find.

Blood vs Water was the strangest. Not only weird choices but also terrible pictures of the contestants and looks like a random photoshop. Monica and Gervase should be on there over most of them, and Candice is the most random pick - I’d even pick Rupert over her!
