This song was made for Jimi. Every song he sang & there were many - he brought to life. His heart was behind the words, allowing the audience to feel that impact, not many can bring it or have that ability. He did every performance. Decades of performing and he remained timeless. He was and is one of the Top 10 male vocalist in the world. He sang this like no other. He was One of a kind. This performance is right on. I have listen and been to many of his performances. I worked with Jimi and he was a dear friend. To say he could sing any song & style of genre is an understatement. He had such Phenomenal talent and his heart was even more so. Truly a remarkable man. God bless him.

Angel Kelley Jimi Jamison was (and still remains) the most wonderful singer in the history of music. Some people may hate me, but in my opinion Jimi is much better vocalist than overrated Freddie Mercury or Steve Perry. I don't say that both of them weren't great artists, but Jimi had in his voice something else, such incredible emotions in it. I can't explain it as precisely as i would like , but Jimi was the only singer that makes shivers and goosebumps on my skin while listening him. It's so sad for me ,that he was too underrated and plenty of people haven't even heard of Jimi, in many countries. For example, in Poland. No one person from my family,fellows, relatives knows Jimi. How it is posiible? Where does this world go? They prefer to listen such garbage music in commercial TV- awful sound, primitive lyrics, clips full of nudity, nude assess. I don't even call it music and don't try even to compare this nowadays rubbish to Jimi, don't want to offend real ,deep, beautiful music. And i'm writing this in point of view 36 years old guy. So i think i am not so old yet, i don't belong to old generation brought up on 80's music. I'm very happy that there are still such fantastic people like you, mrs.Angel, who make such great job and do not let people forget about Jimi. Thanks and sorry for my English, but i'm from Poland

Nobody can sing this song so beautifully live, night after night on a heavy touring schedule like Survivor was on back then, like Jimi. Jimi Jamison had one of the BEST voices I've ever heard. Just great. I miss him everyday 💔

I can watch this over and over and never get tired of this beautiful song. Jimi was one of a kind. His voice and his Heart were Gold. There were many bands such as Survivor in the 80's but none of them had a frontman like Jimi. Charismatic, stage presence, phenomenal voice, good to the fans, kind and so Beautiful to look at. He was one of a kind. Heaven is so lucky to have my Sweet Jimi...I miss him every minute of every day ♥️✨♥️

He married Debbie that year 1985. It was like it was their love song. And then they had two beautiful children together. So touching. What a beautiful man. Many of us women wish he was ours too! God bless you Jimi! 💕 Kimberly

He married that woman in 1985, she was divorced, she had two children from his other marriage, she was older than Jimi, she had two more children with Jimi, he separated from her in 1999, when his love for her ended, so he was separated from her more than 15 years before he died, She always denied the divorce to him, it makes me very angry when she says that she is Jimi's widow, besides Jimi had a fiancée with whom he was going to marry he only waited for the divorce, and life as always did not play fair to jimi, Jimi would finally divorce in less than two months, It hurts me so much to talk about Jimi's life because it's so sad😥

funny how the survivor channel has this same video, edited slightly differently, but they cleaned up his singing significantly. it's noticeably worse here, in what i guess is raw audio.
@genabourassa79622 жыл бұрын
I liked the so called cleaned up version but this is so natural and you get to hear the real Jimi Jamison and all his emotions, I loved his rawness and the enunciations that are so evoking of trueness of live performing. No one ever did it better than Jimi I love this man and all he gives his fans.
@deprofundis32932 жыл бұрын
Yeah I'm here after just discovering that, lol. But I still think this is awesome. His voice is just obviously a bit overworked. But he still sounds impeccable at that section at 0:57, holy crap, better than the studio recording.

such a cute man, with such a beautiful heart and made so many bad decisions in his personal life! And he also met the worst people, he married a very bad woman, who after she mistreated him, he left her, she refused to give him a divorce, he moved alone, he had several girlfriends until he found love again, and he wanted to marry again, but the hag kept denying him the divorce, That's why he died and was still legally married with the hag Debbie😑

@@SurvivorEve If you knew everything I know about Debbie, you'd say, poor Jimi! Jimi left her forever in 1999, he went to live alone! She made everything difficult for him to avoid divorce, she wanted to take everything away from him, so the divorce lasted so long, she is a very ambitious woman, a few weeks before Jimi died, after more than 16 years, he was finally going to get a divorce, but unfortunately he died earlier! I don't know if it was fate, oh what, Jimi's life was very sad! 😥

@@SurvivorEve Debbie made Jimi's life a living hell! Believe me! Methamphetamines didn't end his life, all the pain he felt led him to find a way to handle that pain.
