@@takss9958 earl Cole was almost in winners at war alegently Adam was his alternate, after he didn't want to go because he had a new baby or was going to have one during filming or something like that. But you kind of can't make a season only of what people call "the smaller winners" you kind of expect Sandra, Parv, Rob, Tyson. People are excited about Ethan, Yul or Kim, because their wins were impressive or you didn't see them. Nobody cares about Ben, Nick, Adam or Sophie. Who would have cared for Fabio 🙄 or Nathalie White except from super fans who really want to see them play.

Personally, I'd have asked for Chris Daugherty from Vanuatu, simply because his story of overcoming incredible odds with the grandest deceptions and anti-hero dealings all the way to the Final Tribal Council is just INSANE, and despite his age (he'd have been playing this season on his 48th birthday iirc) he'd be a lot of fun to watch again. The same reasoning applies with Mike Holloway from Worlds Apart, and I agree that he would be fun to watch a second time as well.

Since Jeff did talk about it I will: Richard Hatch - Borneo They originally wanted him back, but Jeff said in an interview "Given his history on our show, it did not seem appropriate", the Dan incident on S39 probably played a factor in it John Cochran - Caramoan Was asked to come back, but declined the offer And those are the only two I could find anything about, I know a few other winners were short-listed, but here they all are: Tina Wesson - The Australian Outback Vecepia Towery - Marquesas Brian Heidik - Thailand Jenna Morasca - The Amazon Chris Daugherty - Vanuatu Tom Westman - Palau Aras Baskauskas - Panama: Exile Island Earl Cole - Figi Todd Herzog - China Bob Crowley - Gabon JT Thomas - Tocantins Natalie White - Samoa Fabio Birza - Nicaragua Mike Holloway - Worlds Apart Chris from Edge of Extinction, and Tommy from Island of the Idols, also did not return because Winners at War starting filming right after Edge of Extinction was finishing up

Chris Daughtry is one of the forgotten great winners. If you rewatch that season (vanuatu), he had the shittiest hand dealt to him. Overcame a power female alliance that was just picking the guys off with ease and he flips that and then runs the whole game (still as the only guy) to the finish and wins. Amazing.

Nobody really got bothered by it, except for a few women, and some people even used this to their advantage on a strategic level. Both Dan's behavior, and the response from his fellow contestants to use this behavior as an advantage to their game, was wildly inappropriate, and Dan was removed from the game after another "incident."

I honestly wished Mike Holloway was here. He was one of my favorites and i would argue that he is THE BEST winner in Survivor's history. He had every quality needed on Worlds Apart, despite everyone being against him.

Hatch should have played. Would be interested to see how he plays in the modern era. Jenna would be interesting to see as an adult. Chris D. Would great. Lowkey one of the greatest players ever. Earl is arguably the greatest winner of all time. Todd would be amazing. I would also like to see Fabio play as an adult. Say what you want about his strategy but he understood the social game and how he was perceived. He played it up well.

Easy for Jeff to say everyone looks the same. Problem is Old school players didn’t “grow up” watching new schoolers and idolizing them, and seeing them become famous. Jealousy of how iconic the old school players have become there was no way one of them were ever going to win. First few episodes it was clear. Rob said it best at the challenge to get back in the game. “Look at us over here, all old school players. We never got our footing.” Not s..t. New schoolers were never going to let that happen. I can’t even begin to realize how excited I am for this season. I hope Boston Rob is out first (I know a LOT of people like him, I just don’t see it- to each his/her own), and I hope Parvati becomes the first $2 million winner. Her season 16 is my absolute favorite season (HvV is a VERY close second). If Parvati doesn’t get it then I have to throw my support behind Sandra, and possibly Tyson.

If you follow Hatch's KZbin page, he gets into his version of why he was snubbed. And since then burned any bridge to the ground down of ever returning. According to Richard, he was booked and all set to be prepped for the show and Probst and CBS stiffed him, following last season's scandel. From Rich's perspective, he was too "risky" to have on in this new phony "woke" Survivor that Jeff is pushing.
