Les is a real badass and runs a true survivor show. Not having a camera crew and having to film all on his own is hardcore enough. He also makes the show look very realistic instead of other survivor shows that feature the guy doing crazy dangerous stunts for the sake of the wow factor on camera. Les doesnt have time for that. He focuses on actual priorities in survival. This episode is my favorite. By far the most ideal place to survive of all the episodes ive seen. And that feast at the end looked absolutely amazing. What I really love about this episode is that you show us all the different ways to survive, even having a feast of sorts, but you don't take more than you need. You showed us how to handle a booby, and it served its purpose of educating us and feeding you. Later in the week, you know you will be going home soon, so you don't try to take another. @dannytjon3 жыл бұрын
It may be hard to realize but it actually is really hard to get meat in survival situations. Imagine trying to get a fish without a net or a fishing rod and a constant supply of good bait. Every time he manages to catch something large I’m astounded because I know just how hard it can be. We don’t see him catch meat many times because he doesn’t fake the production and stick a dead rabbit or fish into his spear when not filming
@misanthropicservitorofmars21163 жыл бұрын

I had a snorkeling boat leave me about an hour off the coast of Mexico on a reef. Fortunately they turned around after about half an hour. Not fun. When I finally saw the boat again I pissed myself in relief. Totally uncontrollable and I'm sure I'd have shat myself too if I hadn't before we left. I thought I was dead. And not just dead but that I'd endure physical and mental torture before death. Of course the mental had set in immediately upon raising my head and realizing the boat was leaving me. The Magnum PI episode where he was lost at sea really screwed me up as a kid. It took me a long time to get over my fear of the ocean. And then that happened. Cut-off Hawaiian shirt with matching do-rag is definitely one of Les's sexier survival outfits.

I noticed the the bone necklace around Les' neck. I'm guessing it was a gift from the survival expert that helped Les before making this episode, from one survival expert to another. As well as to bring good fortune during the seven days having to survive. I can only imagine how surreal it must feel to be alone and documenting each survival experience, especially this one. I'd love to see a directors commentary on this particular episode.
