Here in Indonesia, there's a jumbo size, which is 127 grams. The jumbo size also have another flavour, which is Grilled Chicken, but they don't come in the regular 80 grams, only 127.

I’m a Caucasian Australian and I grew up on indomie mi goreng. It’s a really common 2 minute noodle here it’s in normal grocery store 2 minute noodle section right next to like chicken cup noodle. So it’s probably the one of most common packet noodles here

Sus foods? In Australia every single person has this in the cupboard. They're even included in Australian MRE's (Pro tip): Drop your sauce packets in the hot water for 30 seconds and shake before opening. Make sure you part the noodles with a fork While they're still boiling (The blue packets is superior)

I remember first trying this. Someone bought it and left it in the pantry for like weeks and i got curious and went ahead and made it. The first time i made it, idk it tasted off and only had slight flavor followed by bitterness. Didnt try again until like a week where i had nothing to eat and decided to try again and man, those was the best noodles i ever ate. Bought some more and found out the correct way to make it and man, its probably my favorite noodle of all time just cause its so good and really cheap

*Before opening the oil pack, shake it while it's still inside the plastic so they'll mixed altogether. *Instead of straining the whole water, leave a little so it'll be easier to mix. Some water will evaporate while mixing due to the heat and it will make the noodles a little more juicy. Thank me later 😊

Indomie mi goreng was a staple for me through late high school and university as a white Australian. Super easy and quick to make, and nice and cheap while still filling. I love mixing up my own seasonings too, I often add some extra kecap manis or a sweet chilli sauce, with some kewpie mayo, lemongrass pickle juice, and/or whatever else is in the fridge 🫶

I also found that if the garlic/oil package is a little too solid from being in the cold pantry or my school backpack, you can stick it in the warm water or top of the kettle to melt more and it’s easier to get out - my favourite trick to show people who don’t know

Tips to make it more delicious : - add 1/2 tbsp or 1 tsp butter or margarin (i prefer margarine tho) into seasoning powder, mix it - boil it for 3-4 min to make it more soft and chewy

@@coleorange970 if you eat it a lot and haven’t had problems I’m sure you’ll be fine. I just have a sensitive stomach and it produces more acid than normal. So if I eat processed foods or stuff that triggers my stomach then it gives me major issues. So don’t sweat it cause hopefully you’re stomach isn’t as much of baby as mine is lmao

This is the one thing my country is super proud of. Also props to you for making it the proper indonesian way. That’s what i usually ate late night raining, probably you missed a vegetable (preferably mustard green, bokchoy or spinach) just blanch them Like 10 sec so you got different texture and more crunch but aside from that then it’s pretty accurate way to eat them. Also here in indonesia they know that and they made the jumbo version which is 1.5 portion. Perfect

I first had mee goreng with a fried egg from a small cafe I think in Ranau in Borneo, and it was genuinely one of the best meals I have ever had. I distinctly remember the amazing taste while I sat watching Malaysian soap operas blaring out of a 90s CRT TV mounted in the top corner of the restaurant. A treasured memory.

Indonesian here, 1 indomie a week is good. If you could also add bok coy or spinach as the fresh green fiber, it's more nutritious and lessen bloating for some people who gets it after eating the noodle.
