I admire this woman. The last lines in her breakthrough song are: "So different now from what it seemed / Now life has killed the dream I dreamed" Thats actually what it feels like when a dream comes true. Recognition/Adoration maybe at first looked like a badly needed hot meal to a starving person, but it just tastes a bit like sawdust when that meal arrives on a fork in your mouth. It probably took Susan Boyle far, far, far more courage to taste the reality of breakthrough fame, than it ever did to persist in an ordinary life being invisible and underappreciated.
