The rest of the back story is that Simon consoled her after the announcement of the winner. He told her how excellent she was and that he was going to help her. Her back story is that, as a newborn, she didn’t get enough oxygen and had mild brain damage. She did a lot of pub singing Kareoke but she wasn’t taken as seriously as they did others. Simon set her up for success by creating an environment that supported her, screened her from the madness of the music industry, and stayed by her every step of the way into international stardom and beyond. She was able to buy a house, but preferred to live in her apartment. She has traveled the world several times over and won many awards both domestically and abroad. Simon, the man we think of as mean, was and is her greatest supporter.

2007, 2008, 2009 winners are still selling out tours in the uk, 2010 winner have disbanded, 2011 winner didnt become very successful, 2012 winner is still going on but with the new dog Sully as Pudsey sadly passed away, 2013 winner now has a junior version, 2014 winners is now a 4 piece instead of a 5 piece and still selling out tours, 2015 winner is no longer doing the talent, 2016 winner is still selling out tours and same with 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 and 2023 winner
