@pampamy Thanks for your question. I don't need to preserve the soaps because of the ph factor. Eventually, the oils can go rancid but they won't actually spoil with bacteria.

Fun series! I'll have to look up the other episodes! Soapy thumbs up from one creator to another. I use the Costco boxes to stack or do the Aleppo stacks that can be shifted around for the bigger batches. Crazy how like minds think alike. Loved it. :)Jen

If you do a water discount, the saponification process will go much faster and it reduces drying time by weeks.
@Lacroix9995 жыл бұрын
carolineleiden actually for cold processed soap, the saponification process is usually complete after about 8 hours. While using in a discounted recipe it does aid in speeding up the curing process, but this isn’t the same as the bar needing time to saponify.
@carolineleiden5 жыл бұрын
@@Lacroix999 I cook my soap. A water discount really saves on cooking time.
@Lacroix9995 жыл бұрын
carolineleiden yes, but cooking, curing and saponification are all not the same thing. I took your comment to mean that the saponification process takes weeks which is not the same thing as curing.
@Lacroix9995 жыл бұрын
carolineleiden the saponification process of hot processed soap is complete when it’s cooled. It may still need time to cure but again that’s not the same.
