I've used all of these games in my kindergarten class, and they love them all. Roll and build is an absolute favorite, and I made a laminated class set of this because they ask for it over and over. They love button jars for a center too. I love how easily this can be differentiated, and they are so motivated to use the buttons. I use "match and make" all year with partners on the carpet with a tub of pattern blocks. It can be easily differentiated also and needs to be done over and over with different manipulatives to develop really consistent skills in kindergarten especially to 20. This whole unit is engaging and effective, and there are so many opportunities to differentiate that everyone can be highly successful. I'd highly recommend purchasing it.

These are great as always. I love using old Sesame Street clips. They are great for counting to 10 or 20, etc. They are available on youtube. There are a variety of options. Teaching numbers was a major show goal.

my son's 1 (17mos) and I'm about to start setting up!! 👏🏽👏🏽 he loves majority of these activities to a lesser level, but elevating the "play"ing field is what gets their mind going! He's a fast learner for sure. 💙

Thank you! I was looking for new ways to teach my toddler, but she wants me to be with her all the time. I finally decided to record myself teaching her and upload it to youtube. So if I am busy with cooking, I just play my recorded video to her! win-win! :D

Would it be bad to let children invent their own symbols/drawings and word to represent each numbers, like they discover grouping of cubes into pictures or words they made up. And then when they learn to count using that you teach them the proper name. You can say other kids are learning this too, put they use one, two etc. Im worried what if they wont learn the proper numbers if their first association is their own?

But do they have number sense? I have students who can count orally, starting from 1, but may not be able to compare quantities, or put random numbers on order, or can count forwards and backwards starting from any random number. (I probably shouldn’t have responded. Lots of crazies out there.)
