I came home from her second show on her new tour 5 minutes ago. It started with 20 minutes ballet, then the dancer took the audience through 15 minutes of yoga. Yes that is really how the show started before susanne entered the stage and played her concert with three mindblowingly good musicians. Who does that? She is just on another artistic level. This song was the first encore and it was just impossible not to cry but that was okay. An emotional night of exceptional art.

I was there too! I've seen her before, but this was another level. Yes the 1st encore was stunning : )

Thank you for the respectful and sincere reaction, i also find it difficult to watch the video but I can say that Suzannes voice made the difference. It felt like a heartfelt hymn, designed for this particular purpose. Her voice is incredibly soulful!

Yes, I caught that the second time I watched it, for sure. I now have major respect for Susanne as well. She's a beautiful soul.

OMG this hit me like a TON of BRICKS today😢😭 Lene Marie was an amazing human being, and equally talented photographer. I've listened to this and seen this a few times. So SO impactful and important. 💖💖

It was really hard to watch, but the more I watch it, the more positive thoughts I'm able to pull out of it. I hope I can be half as strong as she was in life.

Your sincerity is appreciated on such an impactful composition. Such a loss but left behind a legacy that will carry onwards and speak to the future.

Struggled to watch this video, Bob. I've seen it before so knew how impactful it was going to be. Like yourself, i got lost in the video but still noticed the ethereal voice of Susanne Sundfor acting as a counterpoint to the sadness portrayed in the film.

Hey Jerry. It was just "WOW". It really makes you sit back and appreciate your own health as well as admire her strength and talents....still hard to watch.

This is one of my favourites songs of Susanne. I was lucky to see the show of Lene Marie Fossen and her art, so this is kind of very strong to me. When I have went to utube to hear this song, I get an anger because people describe and write so much things that I am not agree with. But then again, you come along and give me another perspective of it, so I can think differently. I thank you for that:)

Hi! Now you have me wondering what other people are saying about this. I normally don't look at other reactor's videos lately, but now that I've reacted to this, maybe I will. Thank you so much for taking the time to listen to my reaction. Thanks.

thank you so much for reacting to this masterpiece. The late photographer Lene Fossen is probably one of our times greatest portraitures. In my opinion.

I have seen this video a few times. But, I have yet to be able to watch if with dry eyes. I watch this alone! The imagery combined with Susanne's angelic (you said it!) voice is too much. The visuals and music is just a total assault on my emotions.

I wish I would have said that. That explained it perfectly. Thanks for the listen.

Hi Bob, I had to watch the video again. The first time I was so impressed by the pictures that I actually didn't pay attention to the music at all. I can only say that it is good and supports the effect of the pictures incredibly well. (I'm already writing the comment while I'm watching the video. Otherwise I forget an important thought. I always do that.) So, now I saw the video a second time until your break. You're right. Her voice is angelic and actually contrasts with the photos. But the music supports the effect very well. The music is very calm and unagitated if you can call it that. Lene Marie Fossen's self-portraits get to my kidneys. That's what we say in Germany. I hope you understand me. It's very hard to see. The photos are so great, Lene Marie Fossen was a special photographer. Few can express so much with a photo. Was her way of seeing the world only possible because of her disease? The documentation is great, the music supports the pictures but, sorry, it's just a side issue here. The music is really good and important for the images to work. That is exactly what the music does. No more and no less. That was hard work. I hope you find a slightly happier song for your 100th reaction. Have a nice time and Greetings from Germany

I'm releasing 100 in the morning. I'll give you a heads up. It's more of a summary of my favorite 7 songs so far. (I couldn't cut it down to 5). Ha. I really enjoyed doing it. Got some nice ones already lined up after that. I'm SO anxious to get to so many of these. I hope all of you enjoy at least some of them. I'm truly doing my best. :)

LOve your reaction to this very special video. It is the finale of the documentary about Lene, there are 4 more on YT. I believe Susanne composed the whole score for this documentary, which does not surprise me at all, having followed her since she broke locally, then nationally. All her 8 albums have pieces that are filmic, dramatic, enthralling, moody. Many of her melodys have been used in norse TV programs, and we had a theatre company touring last autumn with a show based entirely on her music.

Art is often about capturing moments or capturing you in a moment, or capturing what is important there and then. Art is no competition and both of these artists capture our interest and attention, giving us insight and experience. I like this kind of art that makes us stop, take something with us, and then move on. Therefore, it is important that music / photography etc. not only becomes a commercial commodity, but is allowed to be art on one's own terms. Hope I make myself understood in a language that is not mine. :-)

Hello Bob, and thanks a lot for doing this reaction, despite the warning about the nature of it. And thanks for a beautiful and respectful reaction. Just as I knew you would. You're on a shortlist of three reactors that I have suggested this video to, knowing that you would do right by it :-) And IMO you said all the important things here. Sometimes we need a reminder (I know that you just got one yourself in form of the melanoma, so I guess the timing COULD have been better). Life is so extremely complex, and still we kinda demand or expect everything to be plain sailing, when it's obviously not. I did not expect you to put Susanne's vocals first here, and it was neither the intention, although, like you said, she sings beautifully. The fact that Susanne and Lene were close, personal friends adds yet another layer to this video and performance. You could see Susanne holding Lene's hand when she was in the bed there. So, to sum this up - You did exactly what I thought and hoped you would do here, and I thank you for that. Nice to get the perspective of a reactor that is at supper time, as opposed to many other know-it-all , can-do-it-all young reactors :-) Take that as you will...LOL Stay safe and take care my friend :-) Love from Norway!

In the film, Lene says that she didn’t want to grow up - that’s why she stopped eating

Hi Heidi. That's sad on a lot of levels. It took me a couple of days to stop continually thinking about this video. It was so incredibly impactful! Thanks for listening.

She stopped eating when she was only 10, to not grow up and with that she never hit puberty either. Even her voice sounded very much like a child although she died as a grown woman. Very sad how powerful anorexia can be. Thank you for your reaction! @@ModernLifeForThe70sMind

another very interesting artist is the swedish anna von hausswolff. she is a genre on her own. let me know if you are more interested in her softer or wilder side to give you the perfect song by her. since you are into classic rock, she might have some real jaw-dropping songs for you to discover

great reaction. this track hits like a cargo train each time. if you remember the video, there is this older guy giving lene a big hug on the vernissage. this guy is morten krogvold, a tv-host, and he did a very interesting interview with lene. i can highly reccomend this interview for everyone interested in this song. here it is: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mIDOhISAhq6FjJI
