The world (the instagramers) need to watch this video and realize cake face and full face baking is not makeup. Letting the skin peak through is the actual way of doing makeup. Thank you Susan for showing us your actual skin. I have some old acne pits and looking at all your other videos i always wondered how will I get rid of the pits. But now on I will just maintain my skin and not worry about those stupid pits. Love you from India Ummmmuahhhh

Dear Susan, I am 14 y/o (Female) and live in India. I have seen a lot of videos of yours and very much inspired and enjoyed by them. This is a very humble request to you, to make a separate one on beginners teen skincare. I really want you to give some genuine tips for us and some decent recommendations. You are one of the best youtubers in the beauty community and I adore you. I hope you will give some attention to my request. LUV U!

Hey! Fellow Indian here. Susan reviews her subscribers' skin care routine on her other channel. Also check out Hyram and James Welsh. Both have informative videos on each step of skincare. Since most of the products they mention are not available in India, learn to look for good and bad ingredients. I have combination skin and dehydrated arms and legs. The following are the products I use now. *First Cleanse*: Cleansing milk from VLCC (usually only at night) *Second cleanse*: Organic Harvest Neem face wash (it has lasted me at least 6 months now) or Simple refreshing facewash Both have a gel like consistency and they don't strip my skin of its oils. *Exfoliation*: Jovees Jojoba and Neem scrub This is the gentlest physical exfoliant I could find. I use a toner with salicylic acid often so I don't really use a physical scrub anymore. I plan on getting the NY Bae salicylic acid in the near future. *Toning*: Aroma Magic Oily Skin Toner (if you're sensitive to essential oils, don't use this) or Healthvit Clearclin Toner (This one has salicylic acid but it also has alcohol and harsh fragrance. I would not recommend it. I use it only for the salicylic acid only at night a couple of times a week). I'm getting the Kaya Purifying Toner soon. *Serum*: Dot n Key Hyaluronic Acid Serum mixed with Dot n Key Vitamin C concentrate *Moisturizer*: Simple Hydrating Moisturizer in the morning and The Face Shop Rice Emulsion at night. Vaseline Advanced Repair or Aroma Magic Almond Lotion for body. *Sunscreen*: Neutrogena Matte SPF 50 (this is not matte on me)or Plum Chamomile and White tea Matte Day Cream SPF 50 (this is matte) for face Vaseline SPF 30 for body *Lip balm* : Nivea Original care at night and Juicy chemistry blood orange lip balm in the morning I try to use a clay mask once a week. I'd recommend a simpler routine for you since you are in school now. The first cleanse is mainly to get rid of makeup (kajal, eyeliner, lipstick, etc.) and excess sunscreen, etc. You can skip it for now and include it later after you are comfortable with your daily routine. *Cleanser* : You can use a cold cream as a first cleanse if you want. The Himalaya Neem face wash is a good option for a second cleanse. *Exfoliant* : Use the Jovees Jojoba and Neem Scrub. Don't rub harshly. Be gentle or you'll irritate your skin. Use 1-2 times a week. *Toner*: You may not need one right now. The Khadi Cucumber or Rose toner will be a good place to start later on. *Moisturizer* : The Simple Hydrating Moisturizer I use is good. It will last you at least 3-4 months. Mine lasted 7 months so the price is worth it. If you have dry skin, try their Rich Moisturizer. If you can't afford a moisturizer, use aloe vera gel instead. Use Nivea or Vaseline body lotion. *Sunscreen* : Use anything that you can get easily with an SPF over 30. Make sure it says broad spectrum/PA/UVA blocking. *Lip balm* : Nivea Original Care is the best I've used. It has no flavor but it's good for your lips. You can use the Banjara's Multani Mitti as a clay mask once a week. Mix it with yogurt or water. Do NOT let it dry completely. I personally don't like clay masks much because I find them to be drying. You can use if it's okay with you. My skin is too sensitive for peel offs. A sheet mask is a good alternative for a traditional mask. You can get one at 50 INR on Nykaa during sales. Use it once a week if you can. Let me know if you have any questions.

Devika Benoy Thank you so much for such an informative advice! I basically have normal to oily and pimple prone skin. No one in my family do online shopping so I wanted to know a cleanser and moisturizer which is having least amount of harsh and toxic chemicals. I have tried that himalaya neem face wash but i got more pimples. I would love to try Simple brand but it is not available in local stores😕
@vividfleurdelis4 жыл бұрын
@@abcd-xh8ez I used this Clean and Clear facewash with salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide that came in a silver tube when I was in school. I can't seem to find it anymore. You can try out the Neutrogena Oil-free Acne Wash. It has salicylic acid. Wash your face with a gentle circular motion for around 30 seconds. If it stings when you rub for longer, rinse it off immediately. The only major problem with this one is the fragrance. Also, try if you can find the Organic Harvest one. Some stores have it. The Biotique Honey Gel face wash is good. I enjoyed using it. The only problem is that they don't disclose the entire ingredients list. As for a moisturizer, try the Nivea Soft Moisturizing cream. It comes in a tub so make sure your hands are washed and clean before you use it. There are parabens in this but they're very low on the ingredients list. Otherwise, look for the Lotus Alphamoist Alpha Hydroxyl Skin Renewal Oil free moisturizer. It has a pump so yay but there are parabens at the end of the ingredients list. Khadi products don't usually have parabens (if you're worried about them) but they don't disclose all the ingredients. You'll have to experiment a bit.

Hey girl, I'm also from India and I've recently done a small course in skincare so I hope that I might be able to help u out. Since u r a teenager, I've prepared a simple budget friendly skin care routine for ur oily & acne prone skin ~ I'll suggest u not to use base makeup, like foundation, but eye makeups and lipsticks are fine. _Morning_ *Step 1 : Cleansing* - Use *Cipla Foaming Face Wash* which is a dermatologically recommended face wash for acne prone skin. Also *Globus Remedies Glycolic Acid & Salicylic Acid Face Gel Face Wash* and *DermDoc Salicylic Acid Face Wash* have been proven to reduce acne. Do not use Clean&Clear and other commercial face washes, they are not safe for you. *Step -2 : Toning* - I'll not suggest you any rose water toners because I've used them for 2 years and they are useless. If u opt for using a Salicylic Acid Face Wash, then go for *GreenTea toners* or *Apple Cider Vinegar Toners* . *Oasis California Green Tea toner* is amazing (it has alcohol but it is the last ingredient in it's list, also it's not denatured alcohol, so it's safe for u). *Alps Goodness Green Tea Toner* and *Jovees Cucumber Toner* are other good options. Avoid *Witch Hazel* , and essential oils mix products (for example Aroma Magic and Biotique Toners). If u opt for a simple kind of a Face Wash, then go for *Acnes Toner* , it has a great and amazing mix of AHAs and BHAs and will be a great option for you, but it has 7% fragnance, so if u r sensitive to fragnance, avoid that. *DermDoc Salicylic Acid Toner* is also beneficial. *Step -3 : Moisturizing* - I'll suggest u to incorporate Salicylic Acid as a must in either Cleansing or Toning stage and keep ur moisturizers pretty simple. *Himalaya Almond Oil Moisturizer* is a mattyfying moisturizer so u might like it. *Biotique Bio Nectare Moisturizer* is fine. *Simple* has a great range of moistures, so check that out. Also avoid Citrus extracts and essential oils in your moisturizer (avoid Aroma Magic and VLCC). *Nivea Soft Touch Moisturizer Tube* is good for oily skin but it has many fragnance components, including Linalool, Benzyl Salicylate and Butylphenyl Methylpropionol which are really harmful fragnances. *Lakme Peach Milk Moisturizer* is fine but it has Fragnance, and so with Ponds and other commercial brands. *Step - 4: Sunscreen* It's a must. It's really hard to find a good sunscreen these days. *Aroma Magic Sunscreen for Oily Skin* is the best for u. Also *Wow Skin Care sunscreen* is good. *Neutrogena Sunscreen* is the best. Remember to find a sunscreen with both SPF 30 or above and PA rating. Avoid ingredients like Oxybenzone (also Benzophenone) and Methoxycinnamate. _Evening_ *Step -1 : Cleansing -* Since it's the time when u come back home and ur skin traps pollution and other stuff, u have to double-cleanse even if u don't wear makeup. First, use Oil or Balm Cleanser (because oil removes oil). *Stay Quirky Cleansing Balm* and *Good Vibes Hydrating Cleansing Oil* are good options(Good Vibes cleansing oil has Olive oil in it, so it might be a bit comedogenic). *Biotique Almond Oil Cleanser* , *Lakme Moroccan Argan Oil Cleansing Oil* (my fav), *Forest Essentials Cleansing Oil* and *Innisfree Cleansing Oil* are really good options. Secondly, use the same facewash which u used for morning routine. *Step - 2: Toner* Use the same as used in morning routine *Step -3: Serum* - It's optional since u r a teenager. But if u really wanna use it, use a Niacinamide + Vitamin C serum. *NY Bae* , *Good Vibes* , *DermDoc* , *Purplle* , *Vit Citrus* are some affordable brands offering Niacinamide + Vitamin C serum. I don't recommend Salicylic Acid Serum because u will already be incorporating that in ur cleansing or toner stage. *Step - 4 : Night Cream* - Since u r a teenager, u don't really need a specialized night cream, u may just use the same moisturizer as above. But u may use Hyaluronic Acid/Vitamin E creams. ( *Aroma Magic Vitamin E night cream* ) Avoid Wheatgerm oil and other comedogenic ingredients. *Step - 5 : Facial oil* Acne prone skin has oxidized sebum, meaning it produces more oleic acid than the required amount. So u need to use an oil which is high in linoliec acid, so control ur sebum production. *Jojoba* , *Rosehip* and *Tamanu oils* are great options. *Stage -5: Spot Treatment* - Using Benzoyl Peroxide Cream specialized for Acne can reduce the appearance of acne, but it may also dry out ur skin. So make sure that u properly hydrate ur skin. It's better if u ask a dermatologist about spot treatment creams. Sorry for this long text, I just wanted to help u. U may follow Beauty Within, Liah Yoo, Hyram, or James Welsh, Kenna, they have the perfect routine for teenagers acne skin videos on their channels.

Ive been watching beauty tutorials on KZbin since 2009. Aside from videos from Lisa Eldridge, this is probably the most helpful makeup tutorial Ive come across in a long, long, long time. -told us WHY she chose a color, a technique, a brush -told us HOW to apply -told us WHAT PRODUCT All without being overly "hype-y". thank you, Nikki, just subscribed to your Insta:)

They are pretty common techniques for painting. As in, on paper. 90% of the time she holds the brush quite far away from the "bristles". This allows for softer lines. This is what you want when you're quietly blending in colour rather than paint obvious lines. In contrast, at 5:11 she does hold the pencil much closer to the face, which gives her more precise control. At that moment she uses a variation of what I know as the inverted grip. This means you keep the pencil between your thumb and forefinger (as per usual), but then also let your other fingers steer and stabilize it. See how she also sticks whatever she's holding in between the forefinger and the middle finger? That way you can tell what you're doing more easily. It's all really quite smart and I love the overlap between art forms
