The happiest time is most definitely not where you’re engaged!!! I’ve been married over a decade now, and there have been so many different seasons of our relationship and marriage, the being engaged period was just a blip on the radar. Things only got better as the relationship progressed over time in so many different ways.
@justprettymakeup12813 жыл бұрын
Susan, I think you are wrong about one thing. I disagree that the happiest time you ever have is when you are engaged. I am 43, have two kids out of the house, & one more in high school. We can finally take a breath. Right now, is the happiest time yet for us! 😊

Good point, they just have not gotten to that point. The kids are still so little. Mine are 3 and 7 and it's even good now because I don't need to be around them all the time. That's a nice breath of fresh air.

I think having something for him to do, focusing on answering questions honestly and thoughtfully, made Arun seem more relaxed on camera, at least to me. As opposed to just giving him the floor to just talk about himself and him (much like I would) not knowing where to start or how to really interact with the camera. I really enjoyed the video and **completely** agree with the overall sentiment that focusing on being the best you really is what matters, bc then you can go into relationships knowing your worth and who you are and what you need/want from a romantic relationship.

I have been with my partner since I were 19 and he 23. We lived with with each other almost immediately. He asked for my hand LONG AGO. We’ve been engaged more or less 10 years 😂 lots of reasons why the marriage has been delayed, it’s not that important anyway. But we welcomed our first child a few months ago at 32 and 36 respectively. The early days of our relationship were fun, we had a lot of adventure and everything was new… but THIS is hands down the happiest time of our relationship. Even though new parenthood is hard, we are happy, and closer than ever to our families. We love our son. We had a really long time ‘free’ and unattached and go places, party ect. and we did. The baby is new but I really don’t miss it so much, yet. At the moment I am more excited about doing things with our kid. Maybe naïveté! We will see!

It’s important to have fun while dating for sure, but I think it’s also important to date with intention, if you’re looking for something committed and serious. It’s different now in the dating culture with all the online stuff and social media. I just turned 34 and newly single and my therapist told me to date with my own goals in mind, but obviously everything takes time, so it’s a balancing act. And yeah guys can wait til they’re in their 40s to have kids, women not so much. So it just depends on what you want for you own life I guess even tho we don’t always get what we want lol. But we try, try again! Good luck beautiful ppl 💞

it’s so hard to not be goal oriented with dating in the early 20s because the biological clock is ticking!! men don’t have to deal with that for the most part! I would like to have kids before my parents get too old and can’t spend many years with them, which probably might be a problem that’ll happen w future generations since many couples are having their kids later in life. and then my parents expect me to go to med school, do a residency for little money, and somehow make it out alive and have time for dating, marriage, kids?? Being a woman is so much pressure sometimes
@xxdeanochkaxx3 жыл бұрын
@lisa no need to worry with biological clock! We all have different paths and different timings and every baby arrive when it is supposed to. I seen woman spend decades fit into biological clock from 19-33 and couldn’t get pregnant and when they completely forgot or married new person, baby arrived in 2 minutes and in some cases 2 in a row or 4 naturally, after 40! Enjoy your study and build your carrer ✨marriage and kids will come when they are suppose to 😍🙏🏼🌈✨

@@xxdeanochkaxx I have health conditions that affect my biological clock unfortunately, i know modern medicine can do a lot and adoption is an option but expectations are there. i just wish it was easier to throw away the pressure if you're raised in a traditional household :( i'm especially worried about my kids not having enough time to know their grandparents if i'm having them at 40! i'm in my 20s, i'm the last kid, and my parents are 65 and 70.

@@unbiasly what is important to you first? Marriage and children? Then date with intention and date people who are like minded. A lot of women waste precious time and have regrets becuase they heard people say "it will come when it come". While some women have difficulty having children, and yes dating is hard and yes you do want to be a doctor. Keep the door open always and out yourself out there. Also, be ok with rejections. Every guy to date will not be the one, but there will be that one eventually. Eventually, won't come if you hiding. You can be married and still in be medicine school. Challenging yes, but doable.

Guys know whether you will be their wife within the first several times of meeting you. Absolutely all men know by the 6th month of dating you whether they want to marry you. For most though it's by the first month of getting to know you. Which is why the woman is inclined to think about this part so much. A man should progress things steadily. Women often get anxious when they don't sense that progression happening.
