This is very good interview. I find his analysis better than most others. India's fundamental problem vis a vis Pakistan has been confusion towards it. Even after 75 years we tend to confuse wishful thinking as analysis. Even after 26/11, we allowed our analysis to be wishful.

This is so true: After having indulged in so many terrorist activities, they are least apologetic about massacres they have done, But our foolish Leftist Liberals (Murkh Buddhi Jeevi) are dying to forgive and embrace them - . What if they keep women and children in the front and start marching towards India, what is the plan? They are Jihaadi by nature and will be OK to sacrifice a few, specially women whom they treat like farms to reap children. And why are issues like Rohingyas not raised at UN ? 10 lakh infiltrators is not a small number, in a country with 2nd largest population. And not to forget, they are a community with explosive expansion rate, a couple of 2 will become 112 in 3 generations. Recently heard in Israeli war discussions, that each house has 9 children in GAZA. This is insane.

Its important to not let the thought of economic crisis in neighbouring country mask the real issue of terrorism. We should still be vigilant and aware as the enemy would only hit us when we are at our weakest. Sanjayji, throughout history people in Afghanistan, Persia and Central Asia hwve had this thinking. They live like Neanderthals, don't plan or invest in people and economy and live by pillaging and invading other countries. India was the sone ki chidiya because we used to work hard, think about a prosperous future and invest in education. The Pakistanis tried the model explained earlier 3-4 times, but still can't believe that they have been beaten back. Their model was simple - when you run out of money, invade and subjugate other people and enslaven them. The Europeans colonized parts of the world as they were greedy for more.

The sign of a county maturing is when deep thoughts are openly discussed. In the last 100 years, the *BIG* difference between us and the mature countries has been that we Indians were always in a reactive mode, while advanced countries had the luxury to nurture "think tank institutes" and "think deeply thru" their foreign policies and the contemplate and do contingency planning about their own actions on the world stage. It is refreshing to see open discussions on the depth of knowledge that our though leaders possess (I am including you, Jaipur/Chanakya Dialogues, Alternate Media). I always try to imagine what it would take to put you all in an independent think tank institution, much like the American Heritage Foundation, type of pro-Bharat institution to publish open guideline to the nation. The time has come for India to have mature independent "non-political though leaders" to publish policy to guide the nation.
