Fyi: Cathy, you need to rinse your knife after EACH cut into the roll to ensure clean cuts. Great review as always!

Excellent demonstration! I've seen a few of these advertised but haven't tried one myself. I eat sushi a few times a month, so this could be something I might actually use.

Freakin' Reviews You should get one! Not sure how long it will last but for $8 it's worth it.

I love sushi!! You could roll it in other things instead of the seaweed. I don't like it either. I've seen rice paper used too. Thanks for the review😃

Try fruit leathers as a wrapper and pecan pie filling as the "meat" along with the rice. Awesomely delicious "sushi"!

Sounds like you all would like sushi a bit more if tired Soy or Rice Paper sheets instead of the seaweed. Maybe even egg. They are all fantastic options. A bit rough on the learning curve as they are more delicate to work with but once you got it down you got it, and it is amazing.

Muito legal .só q tinha q ser mais fino .para sair umas peças num tamanho menor ,pois fica melhor para comer .porque geralmente colocamos a peça enteira na boca

Wet the knife each time with water before cutting. it will make a smoother cut so the rice does not stick and tear apart

I mean... I'm from LA and we love sushi 🍣. I saw this before but I'm exhausted just watching you ladies do this. I haven't got the time to do all that. Maybe like with friends or date night it would be fun to try. But I don't see it as super practical. Plus that little piece that hung over gave me anxiety. 😂😂😂

Alexzander Mack it was our first time. I think it will would get easier the more we use it. I agree, having friends or date night would be fun. Sorry about that piece hanging off. Do I detect a little OCD? 😀 ~ Cathy

O and you can cute it much better if you clean the knife between slices and dip it in warm water. 👍

Ladies... For easier cutting of the roll... Dip your blade in warm water after each cut 😉

It tasted nicer with sushi rice and make it with ricevinagar, salt and sugar. Boil the vinagar add the salt and sugar, dissolve it. Add it to the suhi rice. Fan it cool and scoop de rice at the same time. 👍😊🍚

I have a question for Rachel....Why do you have your name on your apron? Do you forget which one is yours or does everyone in your family have named aprons? Ummm second point from a fan of your show...As Rachel pointed out Cathy you really loved lubing up that shaft...I loved watching. Last point...get a sharper knife to cut your lubed up Sushi :)

Bobby You Tube Good question! This one was a gift but they asked what I wanted in advance - and I requested it! Let's just put it this way - when I order things - if there's an option to put my monogram/name on it - I always do. I even put my initials on my car! 😜 I'm just being a good Southern girl - it's my thing. 😉

I know she is new at this but, Ugh........She did a real sloppy job. She got rice everywhere, on the outside of the suchi, fingers, sloppy cut. She should dip her fingers in water so rice isnt sticking to them. She also not cutting it right. 1.) You use a real sharp knife, not neccessarily a real big Alfred Hitchcock Knife 2.) You get a glass of water. 3.) Put the knife in the water 4.) Wipe off the knife. 5.)Put the knife back in the water and then you make only 1 cut. Before you make another cut your suppose repeat the process. Put the knife back in the water, wipe it with cloth, put the knife back in the water then your ready to make another cut.. This is so you can make a perfect cut, not sloppy with rice hanging out and smashed, looking like it fell on the floor type of sushi. I worked at sushi bar - this is how to do it right! Andrew Mcphail - below here on comments - You are exactly right. Can you imagine getting rice sticking everywhere, fingers, hair, nose, walls, cat, dog, spouse,...he he he ...lol.... for a Great Sushi Maker you can visit. ImOutShopping.com on Kitchen Gadgets.
