Conan is a terrible interviewer. Same as when he had his late night show. Too many phony laughs and always interrupted.

Susie Essman's character made Curb so much funnier than it would have been without her. Cheryl's style of outrage and annoyance was one side of the spectrum, but Susie could straight barbecue the guys and be hilarious doing it.

Yes, but you wouldn't know from this clip. It started out with Susie but as always it became all about Conan Conan Conan and his anecdotes. It'd be nice if he let the guest speak every now and again.

@@aaronaardvark1592 Oh Susie can hold her own! And I think they are riffing off of one another wonderfully. He's relating to her. If you want to see Susie not being able to get a word in, watch her podcast with Jeff Garlin, now that's tough to watch. Anyway, reel it in a bit. Conan is a thoroughly present and thoughtful interviewer. If you watch this and can't tell Susie is fantastic, that's more about you.

What I love about “Curb” is you can occasionally tell why they would be friends. Like sometimes she seems to agree with him or enjoy him a little bit, then he tips it over the edge and it’s right back to vitriol.

It's the hilarious push-pull that some adults can have with each other as friends. If they had to spend more time together they'd probably insist on spending less time together. It's like getting drunk once a week instead of every night.

I just watched the Carson segment Susie spoke about. I've always said people's memories can be foggy, and can be wrong even if they were there. She said here that Carson didn't know she was a comedian. Meanwhile, he introduced her as a comedian. She also said her material was too blue for him. She said nothing blue at all. She said she did terrible, but it was a pretty good segment, where she got some big laughs. She said Carson was cold, but he was as warm with her as he was with everyone else. The only thing she was right about was that her mouth was a little dry. I'm sure she was very nervous, but it didn't go badly at all.

Funny thing……. I haven’t owned a tv in 25 years….. ooh I’m not a weirdo or anything 🤪…….. As a jazz composer, writer, and inventor….. I can be MORE creative……. If I just binge on films….. old movies on my phone…. I spend a lot of time in the studio “ making the donuts “ as it were….. lol sooooooo, nope… never saw “curb, veep, game of thrones, west wing, walking dead,….. “ ect…. but I pull up INTERVIEWS of Dreyfus, Cranston, Macy, Spacey….. ect…… and I’m filled with WHO THEY ARE….!!!…. Yeah I missed out…… but….. it’s hard to find a CONAN INTERVIEW ANYWHERE ‼️‼️‼️ I grew up on DONAHUE,DOUGLAS, CAVETT, SNYDER,ROSE…..ect. CONAN TAKES TIME TO GET TO THE HEART OF IT❗️……. Best interviewer out there………. Off the charts funny of course…… But…….. I like the seriousness Conan brings too…… live for it! Lastly…… many don’t understand something about O’Brien……. They think he talks too much. NOPE!……. CONAN “HAS “ To go here and there just to GET TO THE QUESTION! He’s just FILLED with delicious BACKSTORY ❗️love it when his eyes gets so squinty they look closed…… and he gets into his Conan ZONE ❗️…… It’s just the way his genius functions……… believe me…. Conan NEVER RAMBLES….. he’s just walking his way through the pasture to get to the COW…….. 🐂 I get it…… and….. frankly…… I’ve always enjoyed the pasture walking…….. it’s EQUALLY INSIGHTFUL….. of course at 68…… I’ve learned a few things about life 👀 Patients and listening…. Who knew it would be……… really a thing.😮

I think she is kind of missing the point of Curb. I don't think it's that Larry David's character does idiotic things. I think its more poking fun at some societal norms. How silly some of our cultural practices are, and about the expectations we have of people around us. I think David's character serves as a vessel for this kind of critique.

Good for you Conan. I'm proud of you! You said Actors and Actresses. I'm sick and tired of Talking heads saying The Actor. And I remember her Susie as the Tour Guide in "Crocodile Dundee" 2 giving the Japanese tourists a Tour of the Subway in New York and her screaming when the shooting starts. Once you hear her Screaming and Yelling you'll never forget her.

You can't win, really. I think it's more common nowadays to eliminate the gendered titles and call both women & men actors. Ergo most people wouldn't find that word excludes anyone. Sounds like a funny scene though, I will have to watch those movies someday.
