I attended McMaster university in Hamilton in the 1980’s a few years after Martin Short was a student there. Part of the first year psych course was video clips of various conditions with Marty acting them out. They weren’t meant to be comedic but they were still hilarious. He would have filmed these more than 40 years ago and he still looks about the same.

Martin Short is so hilarious. I like that he basically plays himself in Only Murders in the Building

I watch the highlight reel of insults when I’m feeling down. It always makes me laugh so hard that I cry (of joy).

Except for the misuse of the word “cameo”, Conan was a giant between giants in this episode. Legendary episode.

Every time Connacht laughs it sounds like to people laughing at the same time. One of them is Droopy.

I've seen that compilation video of Marty roasting Conan and it's the most brilliant thing on the platform. I'm also sure that there's way more than what was in it, so a part 2 would be greatly appreciated.

That was so much fun. I had listened before I watched. That made it so great to watch. A trio of greatness.

It occurs to me that I never really cared much for Martin Short as an actor... but hes hilarious in interviews. He does this "bigger than life" schtick when hes acting that hes clearly doing just to entertain himself that always felt like a distraction. Maybe if he had dropped that affectation he could have landed bigger roles.

Martin Short's Jiminy Glick is the height of comedy, rarely reach by the most experienced or famous comedians. It puts him in a category above everyone else.
