I was testing the ninja to see how it managed to dehydrate fruit, when living on the farm we had a large Aga and you just used the warming oven overnight , very simple . The oranges done in the ninja have come out beautifully and I am using them for lots of festive ideas not just to top my cocktails and gin and tonics 😂. I am doing a very natural potpourri with fir cones and making it look very festive and using some essential oils so it smells like Christmas. I am also going to be using the oranges around the Christmas ham and dressing cheese boards with oranges and lemons , it helps things look festive but yet natural .

Thanks susie I didn’t realise things take so long to dehydrate. I have done my herbs 🌿 much quicker, I didn’t think I had then really right. Your drink definitely needed to be had to show us how nicely they fit into your drink, what a great reason for one.🍹

I used to do them when we lived on the farm but the aga was on all day so you never thought about it 😂 herbs don’t take long compared to fruit and only do fruit leading up to the Christmas period . They look beautiful though and have kept a lovely colour which is nice too xxx

I did that although the lemons were very thin and started to move around so I put the lemon onto the parchment paper in the base of the pan and then put the crisper plate on top of them to stop them lifting and it worked !! I do think it all depends on how this your slices are . Mine are beautiful and I am using them to make all sorts of things look pretty 😂xxx
