Susie's Ninja Chicken with a Leak and mushroom sauce

A quick and easy tasty chicken dish, the sauce is very useful as you can use it with other meats and even fish, it is also possible to add different herbs !
I used fresh skinless chicken breasts and a couple of rashers of smoked streaky bacon which wraps round the chicken for cooking in the Ninja.
Sauce ingredients are:
2 small/medium leeks finely chopped
1 tablespoon of butter
1 tablespoon of olive oil
1/2 a red onion diced
1 glove of garlic diced
1/2 glass of white wine
2 medium chopped mushrooms
1 tablespoon of fresh tarragon
1 Knorr chicken stock cube in 250mls of hot water
2 tablespoons of double cream
This is a very good way to introduce yourself to making your own sauces and it is really tasty, any sauce left over can be put in the fridge in a covered bowl and warmed up next day to use just add a little more cream if needed, we used it next day over pork sausages. Yum !

Just watched this Susie, must try the sauce it looked delicious, unfortunately I can’t use onion and garlic but I could add garlic infused oil. It looked a beautiful meal, love watching your videos from Melbourne Australia ❤

Thank you , it was delicious and you can leave the crisper tray in if you wish , I was thinking the butter would keep it moist but I think that then meant the bottom was not crisp like the top !! Still very good but I will do it again and people have been passing tips to me 😂 , I am very much an experimental cook ! Thank you for watching xxx

I am going to cook this next week, The Missus won't eat Leek's so I think I will do Chips with the chicken breast fillets, I will slice in the middle of the chicken and place some cheese in the middle then wrap in Bacon. I will eat anything so I will eat the leak sauce. Brilliant video Susie, Love it.

I've subscribed as I'm thinking of buying a ninja so interested in what you can cook. The dual zone appeals as you can cook different parts of the meal separately i.e. meat and potatoes separately. Please could you do a video showing a roast meal? Would a whole chicken fit in one side and roast potatoes in the other side?

Hi Rachel, the model I have is the 300 , I have now found out they do a 400 model which does take a full small chicken in one side .I love mine because most of the time it is just the two of us so it is easily big enough. Often I may cook a piece of Salmon in one side for my husband then a couple of chicken thighs in the other for myself . I will get round to doing a video with a roast and potatoes , just got a few videos needing editing first . Hi Catherine, yes I have done fish in the air fryer , I have cooked cod fillets skinless with butter and a slice of fresh lemon on it in the ninja , also Salmon fillets cook amazing in the ninja , also done cod fillets in foil packets in the ninja with capers and vine baby tomatoes and a dash of olive oil so delicious . Hi Jacqueline, my ninja is the 300 model so it is the small one , it slides back under my cupboards when not in use , always remember they need lots of air around the back vents and top I pull it forward when using . Thanks for commenting xx
