The bird weaving is an ancient skill. Before palm weaving became associated with Palm Sunday in Christianity, these kinds of woven leaves were used as offerings to nature spirits on altars and on little spirit boats. Most of the offerings are "puso", which is Visayan for a kind of palm leaf basket used to cook rice with. They come in many shapes. Birds, centipedes, starfish, turtles, etc. Birds are the most common since they are believed to be messengers of the spirits. Weaving was once one of the most important skills in pre-colonial Philippines. Used to make baskets, mats, sails, house walls, etc.

It's in the Philippines tradition to give free food, drink, fruits, services, house for a day or night...etc., especially in the province area. And the no.1 tradition is feasta, where you can eat, drink, sleep and celebrate with the host for 3 days, and all for free. And even beyond 3 days or more. The host will always provide you with almost everything they have and you need. That's one Filipino hospitality. And it's mostly happened in the province.

Alugbate is a type of spinach it is usually put in monggo dish that is why if you notice in the market it is beside the ampalaya leaves that is also an alternative to put in your monggo dish if you don't like the alugbate. In the visayan region alugbate is used also in making tinolang isda.

Alugbati - Malabar spinach. Used in pretty much the same way as kangkong or spinach. Though I don't like it as much because it doesn't absorb flavors as well as other leafy vegetables and tend to still taste quite "grassy".

@@SusieinthePhilippines I'm sure there are also alugbati in Luzon. Maybe the green versions are more common there. Here in the southern islands, our veggies tend to be more purple for some reason. Probably protection from the sun, so they produce more pigments.😄 But they're the same vegetables. So the purple alugbati you saw might be green in Luzon and easily confused with kangkong (water spinach).

If you ever get water in your ears that will not come out, the trick to getting it out is to pour more water in and then quickly tipping your head to let it all out. @@SusieinthePhilippines You could try following exact recipes. They usually have measurements. But the way we cook adobo at home is purely by eye. We don't measure anything so I can't advise. 😅Besides, the proportion depends on your taste. Some people like it vinegary. Some like it salty. Some like it sweeter and thus add brown sugar. But yes, the ingredients are very simple and would be easily available, even in Hungary.
@kankarootmabantot4816
@kankarootmabantot4816 Жыл бұрын
Its usually equal amount of soy and vinegar. The trick is once you put the vinegar in, let it cook uncovered and do not stir at all until it is boiling , it has to cook until the vinegary smell has reduced. For pure veg adobo, you have to develop the adobo first before add the vegetable.

That's the problem with non-pro experienced in water world. Actually, it is a very easy problem and no need to go to a doctor. If you had water inside your ear, you can tilt your head on the side of your affected ear and knock your head in the upper part of your ear on mild knock and feel the water movement and continue knocking until it out. If not, do the jumping together with knocking. If not again, put more water on your ear hole to have more inside to bring the small amount of water going out and do the knocking and jumping. That's the easiest way to removed water on ears. Or basic way, take dry cotton buds, put inside of your ear canal and tilt your head to the side of your ear affected to be suck by dry cotton. Most doctors are unaware of this technique or go with the flow to collect money, give you medicine that make it worst or nothing to do on removing water on your ear until it gots infected. Doctors ways is to prevent or just curing infections, nothing else. And mostly, do the check-up and prescribed medicine as drama, just to collect money out of people as their milking cows. Sometimes, they makes you sick or worst to take money on you. Business is business for money, the same as lawyers.😡 I hate those profession! Except, for a reasonable cost and true heroes by profession. Salute to them!
