He is a parole violator and with this serious of alleged crimes, especially since a Melvindale police officer was the one killed so they may want to avoid him being housed in melvindale PD station overseen by the fellow officers of the officer murdered as a concern for safety and avoiding bias, it isn’t odd that he went to Mound for holding and arraignment until he goes to the county jail.
