They’ve been knew he was invloved he admitted to it but had immunity speaking on the situation during that particular day. he wrote a book about it and did multiple interviews speaking on exactly what happened. He didn’t know he couldn’t speak about it at a later date after the initial day he was granted immunity.. he caught hisself up by speaking about it to the public not because this is some new information they knew about his involvement when it happened.

He was never immune from prosecution. He was given ability to make statements about crimes he may had been involved in without those statements being used against him. LVMP dropped the ball on this whole situation 12 years ago when he first hit the scene speaking to those events. LAPD california prosecutors don’t have the ability to give immunity for crimes committed outside their jurisdiction. LVMP should have had him arrested in 2010.
