Erin is mid 20s but child like with her gullibility. They’ve shown that. She grew up in a foster care. Maybe they only had 3 dates over 3 weeks but they also see each other every day at work. She really likes Andy. This is the office, of course her reaction would be extreme. Plus it did serve for her and Michael to bond. She is has been showing for whatever reasons she really looks up to Michael. We get to see Andy really care about her too especially with convincing everyone to bring her a gift and particularly Michael to give it a chance to get know Erin.

Alright let’s break this down First things first, I agree with Chris with the working next to Angela that’s less than 10 feet away. 1. In the work space, especially an office (I work in a call center) it’s always frowned upon to date where you work (shit where you eat type shit) because of shit like this can happen. I’ve seen it before too. 2. As crazy as this may sound but hear me out…dating moves A LOT faster when you work with them. You see them everyday, flirt, get to know them, etc etc. THEN you go out on real dates outside the office. Those times you spend in office getting to know them are cutting the time to get to know them on dates. For instance Jim got to know Pam so well he got her the perfect gift for Christmas without even going on an official date. 3 weeks dating when you don’t work together sounds like what Mickey mentioned. But 3 weeks dating AND working together is completely different. Alright thanks love you guys and keep up the great work!!

I get Erin. Like I LOVE Andy and in normal circumstances, three weeks is too early do disclose that you used to be engaged. But Erin works with Angela and sees her everyday and someone in that (boundary-less) office was going to bring it up at some point...Andy should have told her about his history with Angela. It's not like they casually dated either. They were days away from their wedding. And also, Andy may have only been dating Erin officially for three weeks but he was courting her much longer. He should have mentioned it even before they started dating. So I get Erin. She reacted a little strongly but I think part of her character is that she's naive and trusting and she's so young...Andy has all the power in that relationship so trust is really important. And he failed to disclose a huge, pertinent thing to her. She gets to be wary and upset for a while, I think.

If Erin and Andy were serious enough that the entire office knew they were together, then Erin has a right to know about Angela/Andy before Angela knows about Erin/Andy. Anyone aside from Michael could have brought up Angela and Andy in front of Erin, and that’s really embarrassing and humiliating to be the girlfriend and the only person who doesn’t know.

I can see both sides of the issue. Yeah, getting that mad about that kinda thing after dating for three weeks is pretty excessive. But them both working in the same office with Angela makes it a whole lot more uncomfortable for Erin. Obviously, the best thing for Andy to have done was to rip the Band-Aid off and tell her about Angela on the first date or two. But I can’t fault Andy too much for making the mistake he did.

I'll get tons of hate for this, BUT: I never liked Erin as a character. The actress is fine & all, & she has a couple of funny scenes, but I don't find the character endearing in the least. Sympathetic at times, but that's about it. This episode is a good example. And all this BS about "but they see each other every day & they all work together", so what? People aren't obligated to fill you in on every aspect of their life immediately. They're in a new relationship, which is barely intimate at this point. Andy didn't commit some cardinal sin. It making her uncomfortable is one thing, but her reaction isn't justified, even if her background makes it understandable.
