There was a station that I used to listen to as a kid ND I loved suspense. Don't have loads of memories but one episode I've never totally forgotten. Which episode was it where people all over the world disappear, it was a post apocalypse and in two parts. Anyone remember the name of the episodes?

The Long Wait has possibly the most surprising (and most brutal) twist at the end of all Suspense episodes. Burt Lancaster proves he's a very good voice actor, too.

I've almost finished uploading every Suspense episode available and am looking to start on a new series. Do you have any favorites?

It was a brutal ending to be sure but I wasn't completely surprised by it. The ground is prepared when he can't kill her because she wants to be killed and it would be a kind of mercy killing. Also, she lightly kisses him and he mentions that he feels "chilled" by it so we should know his friendship is fake.

Air Date:11.24.1949 ( November 24, 1949) Plot:+ "The Long Wait". Sponsored by: Auto-Lite. A well-written story about a man just out of prison who is planning to revenge his brother's death, and the strange way he goes about doing it.Dan Vale is arriving at Grand Central station. He has spent the last three years in prison and he has a debt to repay. He wants to murder Lois Williams, the woman responsible for her brothers death. He goes to her apartment, takes out his gun, opens the door and steps in. Lois Williams stands in front of him looking as radiant as ever, but there is one big problem - Lois isn’t scared, she wants him to kill her and it’s not very satisfying getting revenge by killing somebody who wants to die. www.oldtimeradiodownloads.com/thriller/suspense/the-long-wait-1949-11-24
