this video explains how you adjust the suspension on the KTM 390 Adventure
go to max - (clockwise) and start counting backwards - R-rebound and C- compression
recommended settings
Front - Rebound
Comfort - 20, Standard - 15, Sport - 10,
Front - Compression
Comfort - 17, Standard - 15, Sport - 10,
Rear preload - 3 clicks for full load - 10 clicks
rear rebound
Comfort - 15, Standard - 10, Sport - 5,
just remember if you want more damping its "less no of clicks" from full clockwise. more damping is more sporty but don't go so far that you start to loose feel.
for off road you want the suspension to react quicker so less damping but don't go so far that you start crashing through the stroke. if that happens start increase damping
If you're carrying more load like luggage and passenger increase your preload at the rear to prevent it from squatting at the back.

I'd got the adjustable rear shock and it made a world of difference. Now just a few days away from installing the adjustable forks, glad I found your video on how to setup. 👌🏻👍🏻

Thank you sir for explaining and actually demonstrating these settings. Finally a video, I've found, that is clear and straight to the point and without annoying loud music, fancy cinematic scenes and most of all in English during the whole video (instead of suddenly switching to Indian). Thank you so much for this, I was able to use this to help me with my rc390 - I’ve done this before on other vehicles but I was afraid of overspinning the adjuster knobs on this model because that’s easily possible on some others. This video gave me the confidence that I would feel a distinct stopping point within the clickers (I had no idea where they were set to originally) - The only thing that worries me now is that my compression knob only has 29 distinct clicks, I don’t know if I’m forgoing one counter clockwise click or one clockwise click.. I either way I feel resistance both ways after 29 clicks 🤔

Very informative sachin. Great explanation. Can you confirm this statement: front full clockwise is hardest suspension. And full anti clockwise is softest? Similarly for rear? Full anticlockwise is softest?

yes, front left full right will be hardest and anticlockwise will be the softest. the right fork will be for damping. the rear has only rebound but will affect your compression as well.

How many clicks should we make for jumping and hard terrain, front and back? Can you write the suspension data?

@@meminkartal447 its very difficult to give a general setting data without knowing more details however i can give you a starting point. If youre a heavier rider and feel the rear is bottoming adjust the preload to 5 or higher. if you feel its too jittery amd skipping over the smaller stuff. Soften it to 3 or lower. If you increase preload correnpondingly increase damping and reduce damping if you reduce preload On the front start with around 17 clicks off from max to maintain a good feel of the surface. If you feel youre bottoming out too much come back to about 15 or even lower, but if you increase damping too much youll also loose the feel. I would set it for feel and grip and modify my riding rather than set it too hard for the jumps and hits and sacrifice feel everywhere else

Can all adjustment be done with the bike on side stand only? Cause i saw video that the tire should be lifted up when adjusting the suspension? Thanks.

In theory we can. The components are a straight swap. However the bike has just been launched. And generally most manufacturers take some time to make these available for retail or over the counter supply. If a new vehicle equipped with this fork meets with an accident and the fork needs to be replaced, the dealer can get it immediately. If really interested you could try placing an order with a dealer maybe with a little advance money and keep the rest of us posted
