Great welding skills, Scott! If it were mine, since the weak spot is now identified, I would have added extra weld material to all four inside corners and across both edges nearby to at least help prevent a recurrence. As long as the equipment is out and set up and it takes little extra time, why not? 😉🔧👍

I had to readjust The discharge side of my GT support bracket to get it even more than it was when I got the tractor

It broke because of either poor design or the metal was cold formed ( first one made Monday morning possibly ) and not stress relieved instead of hot formed. It may even be poor quality steel.
