Suspension noise problem in Honda CR-V |Suspension replacement | CR-V Suspension overhaul | MotoFyx

We had this Honda CR-V visit one of our MotoFyx car reapir workshop for an annual service along with a specific concern pertain the car’s suspension, wherein there was an abnormal clunking noise being observed in the car especially while driving across uneven roads or bumps. As the car was frequently used for long distance travel, the car owner wanted to ensure that the car remain in perfect driving condition and hence reached out to us for immediate assistance.
Upon a detailed inspection of the car by our expert technicians, the Front suspension system of the car in particular was observed to be weak mainly due to cut rubber bushings & weak front & rear shockabsorber refill. also the link rods and ball joints were in bad shape.
With major cuts being observed across almost all bushings, replacing the rubber bushings was the only viable solution in order to silence the clunking suspension noise concern.
*Role of rubber bushes within the suspension system:
- Rubber bushes play a pivotal role within the steering and suspension system in most cars wherein they allow free movement of the suspension and steering complements whilst at the same time also help absorb all the noise, shocks and vibrations
*Symptoms of worn out rubber bushings:
- Clunking / Banging noise
- Uneven tyre wear
- Unstable braking
- Reduced driving comfort
*Solution:
- The front suspension system was dismantled
- All rubber bushings within the front suspension system were replaced with new rubber bushings
- Front & rear shock absorber refill were replaced
- Link rods & ball joints were replaced
- Wheel alignment was done.
