I had to make a comment even if no one sees it - I so loved Luke & Laura. They are amazing, funny one second and serious the next. No one seems to mention the incredible music that was used to back up these fantastic scenes. I don't know who supplied the music but it was amazing. I loved the secret agent/spy music when Luke searched Smith's office and this cute music used here. It was always just right and set the mood perfectly.

This was the reason I paid $600 for a VCR in 1980. I couldn’t miss Luke and Laura. But saving every episode wasn’t possible. Thank you for making this vault of wonderful memories we can visit any time.

I love these scenes. After all the angst of the past year or so they start to enjoy eachother. TG really gets good here. He is able to be comedic. Gf bounces right off him. The pairing of these two is perfect. They get to be romantic, funny, and seductive. LnL forever.

These scenes with Luke and Laura put a smile on my face. I love Luke here. I loved him in every scene. Genie too--These moments are habit forming. Tony G was incredible then. Genie was so young and so talented. It shows their comic side here.

HERE IS TO LNL AND ALL OF THE JOY THEY BROUGHT US. THE OLD HOLLYWOOD MOVIES OF THE 30'S AND THE 40'S WERE SOME OF THE BEST. THE CHARACTERS (NICK AND NORA) NICK WAS A DETECTIVE AND HIS WIFE ALWAYS BUTTED IN TO HELP HIM SOLVE A CRIME. GEE, WHERE HAVE I SEEN THIS BEFORE... REMINDS ME OF LUKE AND LAURA. THE FIRST LETTERS THEIR NAMES ARE THE SAME. I DON'T THINK IT WAS A COINCEDENCE, BUT ON PURPOSE. ( IT HAPPENNED ONE NIGHT) MY PERSONAL FAVORITE. CLARK CABLE AS A NEWS PAPER REPORTER HELPING A HEIRESSE ON THE RUN HIDING OUT...THIS IS WHERE THE BLANKET IDEA IS FROM... As I've been watching I've been thinking that I can't wait for them to go on the run because Laura needed to lighten up and have some fun. Even though they were being chased by hit men they were so much happier together than all those long months before.

OMG Scotty, saying you always had a thing for Zelda really messes up what happened the night Laura was raped and you didn't show up because you were out with Zelda! Geez As for LnL1, this is where the real fun and magic begins to shine. I love how those two were able to do both heavy drama and comedy with ease. He was so much older than her and more experienced as an actor but you would never know it watching these. GF was amazing for such a young actor.

I'm a first time watcher, so I don't know whats going to happen next, whereas there are probably a fans here who do. But I'm starting to wonder if people will start to suspect foul play about Laura's absence from Port Charles. I mean, Scotty attacks Luke out of anger and jealousy because of what happened between him and his wife, and now Laura is no where to be found. Will no one wonder if he killed both his wife and her alleged lover?

Certainly anything was possible when this originally aired. We had no idea what would happen. The show was so much more suspenseful, and there weren't all these spoilers and things. I have tried to keep spoilers out of the comments for viewers like you here, on their first go around. I am so enjoying your comments and thoughts about the story. Thanks so much for sharing them!

I thought of that too. It would be logical to find out what happened to Laura. Her history of running away might mitigate that a bit. Until technology caught up so that people could be searched for more efficiently, run aways were a burden and there wasn't much curiosity about them. Several bad incidents and stronger laws made changes.
