2023 and this is still the greatest love story ever told on television. Thank you for posting this entire playlist for us to enjoy. The memories this brings back for me are incredible. I'm 61 now but somehow this magically transports me back to when I was a teenager. I met the love of my life at the OU campus crowded in watching General Hospital in between classes. All these years later we can still sit by the computer together and watch these all over again.

I adore the references to one of my favorite movies It Happened One Night. Luke and Laura are very similar to Clarke Gable and Claudette Colbert’s characters.

They are speaking of the 1934 movie It Happened One Night with Claudette Colbert and Clark Gable. There are many similarities with Luke and Laura scenes as were in the movie. Classic!

Yes they are the reason I am posting... this is place easily accessible and used by the younger generation. This stuff deserves to be seen because the people working on the show back then were SO DEDICATED to putting out quality television and were fantastic story tellers.

Vanderbilt maybe if not jordache. There were dozens of popular ones then. I recall that industry really busted big when between 82/83. There was a shope called Jean Machine. You could go 5hrough brands, style, szs and lengths. It was exciting.

I think the GH writers were inspired by that movie when they created L&L's relationship!

AG had major back surgery in his 70's and I noticed he seems to have back problems in some of these episodes.He was into sports in school and did his own stunts on GH.

Gotta wait for that. Took her long enough to tell him she loved him. Can't have things happen too quickly. Got to have the audience spread word of mouth so they can turn in too and get caught up. That's how soaps worked. Now they have so few viewers, word of mouth isn't so powerful. The word of mouth is mostly bad nowadays.

@Chesapeake Bay Yes, Rick sure has all the tell tale signs of powder use. Sniffing, checking his nose, swallowing, out of breath, sweating and sometimes his jaw movement. His head must have been numb the stuff was really good in the late 70's early 80's. 😁

Don't think it was a cast member (actor).... but I don't really do the gossipy thing around here.....and I don't know with absolute certainty. Whoever said it though was DEAD wrong... I know I watched L&L, loved L&L.... related to L&L, forgave Luke.... becauase of Genie Francis' Laura...I think that is the case for many a L&L fan my particular age.
