Luke is so damn sweet here with Laura, it's so ridiculous that they've made him feel trapped by laura, marriage and his kids, he was the one who repeated over and over about wanting to get married.

I don't think Luke felt trapped. I do think he was freaking out over his abilities to keep his family safe, and it destroyed him.

It's like the later writers never even watched the history of these two. Laura was not the one begging for marriage, it was always Luke. They also didn't stay true to Laura's character. They made her weak and boring. Laura loved adventure.

I think his full name is "Lucas Lorenzo Danger-Prone Spencer" though. lol

@jimmywaynegirl Well part of me can resolve that out in my head as Luke is just not the same man without Laura... he has kind of gone full circle to the cynical loaner that he was before her presence. He can't deal with the pain and has seemed to just tried to forget... I so want to see GF and TG working together again, so when GH goes off the air we can bid adieu to the Luke Spencer we all know and love. ...not this emotionally detached man we have been watching for years.

They were just saved for the year.. but nobody knows after that. I think they gave Frank Valenti the same challenge as Gloria Monty significantly bring up the ratings or else.... Ms. Monty was a GENIUS and rose to the challenge... we shall see what happens. I agree they really need to appeal to the viewers they lost... us basically... and the only way they are going to do that is to stop bastardizing what we watched, and give us at least a bit of OUR GH. Many of us still in their prime demo.

@stefan103 Well after they got the kids Laura became neurotic. She was worried about the kids. She didn't want to do the adventures anymore. She wanted the kids safe. Luke was never the adventure type until Frank Smith was after them. He got the taste of it and liked it. So did Laura until the kids came along.
