I can see why it is irksome to us that everyone is taking over the wedding, but when we look at the big picture, this was done to create a masterful build-up for the big event. Gloria Monty's wheels were turning. She was creating the buzz with Luke and Laura's inner circle, and slowly expanding it out, so that by the time they get to the Mayor's Mansion the wedding and guests make sense. And, then, when you know what happens at the end of the wedding - the whole town witnesses it! Genius!

I think Laura/genie francis looks like there's something wrong with her--her speech is slurred, and she seems, I think, out of it.

This is somewhere around the time that Genie went to the hospital overnight for a problem and was snuck back in to the studio to be made up in her dressing room, so know one would know how bad she looked. Genie mentions this in that Emmy Legends interview from 2007.

@@2006bbbb1 yes, I read that also, but there was another clip(playlist 302) where GF was really slurring her words worse than she is here and it looks like she's either on something or she's exhausted. ⌚ it and you'll see.

@@lisanealy1703 Yes, but maybe these two clips, 302, 303, work for both our theories. Maybe her problems in clip 302 lead to her hospital visit, and then 303 maybe is when she was snuck in for the make up in her dressing room day after she was taken from the hospital to the studio. There was also something going on with her chin as well. I notice it a few times.
