Do it, it doesn't have to be complicated, you could just wrap a serviette/napkin around a gift & shout bang!

Love your cards. I reuse things from cards we got in previous years. The only cards we buy are one made by Alice in school and printed locally - part of profit from sale is donated to school and for her class. Some years we made cards for class but no one else did so we may skip it this year. I am actually planning tutorial for making cards using bit of fabric. The only bad thing we have is crackers. Little miss just loves the sound of cracker popping. But we try to go for those that have games/colouring pages etc inside instead of silly plastic things.

I like to make cards they are more personal and only send to immediate family, saying that I tell my sons and husband I dont want one as we are togther so there is no need! Yes I agree a lot of waste in this area.

Great way to use scrap fabric making cards. Thank you for the recommendation! I obviously think my cracker pattern is epic as you still get a real life winner........not that we're competitive in our household....not at all 😅 Loving the ideas of a sustainable vlogmas. I have scrap fabric I need to use and too many ideas that I don't actually make anything.

I don’t sent Christmas cards these days - I make a donation to the greyhound trust who I support through the year. Dominic Chinea (Dom from the repair shop) has a You Tube and has made fantastic everlasting re-useable Christmas Crackers - you don’t need to be a fantastic sewer. I’ve bought the snaps and will be having a go at making these this year! I made the Christmas crowns last year. Great vlogs Sam - does make you stop and really think about the commerciality of Christmas and whether spending all that money a) is worth it and b) is appreciated! ❤️❤️

oh thanks for the heads up about Dom's KZbin channel, I didn't know that, will look it up - Yes I agree about the commerciality of Christmas, especially when you see the stats of how much is unwanted or unused, particularly if it's handmade too 😠
