Sustainable Living in the Future Oosterwold

Food from the region can contribute to the city's ambitions with regard to circularity and CO2 emissions. The (city) farmers of Oosterwold have to grow food on at least fifty percent of their lot. This will amount to about 1800 hectare of urban agricultural land. And that has never been done before. The area development of Oosterwold is unique: sustainable and self-supporting. The residents bring the concepts of Growing Green Cities and Feeding the City to life.
