Nice rendition! I made one too, but with only one guitar, and I don't respect exactly the lines of El Hefe and Eric.. Concerning this strange part at 3:34, by looking at their DVD? you can see that El Hefe does it with open chords but it's still doesn't sounds like on CD so I also guess that there is a double recording done in studio, or maybe a delay effect......

It's actually not a trumpet. I've seen a lot of people saying it's a trumpet, but it is indeed a trombone.
