Song of the Force lyrics the Song of the Force, we summon the rain, bearing the wisdom of the wind, desiring to greet you at the crossroads where one can view the sky Far away we swirl together as the chorus of this star, (1) treading a path as red as if the evening sun had dyed it so Together with the bonfire that burns with a noble light we bear the prudence of the night, desiring to greet you at the crossroads where one can view the moon Far away we swirl together as the chorus of this star On moonlit nights we become the apprentices of insects, calling out to each other at a distance, traveling through a secret stream With bows of pride we pierce the sky, bearing the profundity of the ocean, desiring to greet you at the crossroads where the clouds clear away On moonlit nights we become the apprentices of insects

It's like Hirasawa tells about something that would make a person's life beautiful if they could go to it. I'm inspired to find beauty when I listen to this song. The beauty is such that separation from it leaves longing in the heart; it cannot be replaced. A person who is hopeless ever to go to it might even refuse to forget, because the heart that remembers will at least have the memory of that beauty. So he suffers a broken heart.

If we were to find similarities between them, it would be in the experimental way in which they approach instruments, and the fact that they generally have a hand in the engineering of those instruments (whether they are engineering them themselves or otherwise being part of the design). But you're right, their musical styles are very different.

@ericcatsguy I've given up on claiming an opinion for which of his songs I find to be the most beautiful. Because for so long, every time I heard a song by him, I'd say what you said; as if every song he made was my favorite. If every song he makes is my favorite, either he out-does himself every single time... or he has simply reached perfection and all of his songs are perfect... and therefore a favorite.
