We went to Sutar Kandi Indo-Bangla Border on 12th January 2022. We started our journey from Toll Plaza on National Highway 37, which you will be seen in this video.
Border distance from Toll Plaza is about 18 kilometers. It took 30 minutes to reach Sutarkandi by private car.
You can reach by both public and private vehicle. After reaching Karimganj at ASTC point, Toto or E-rickshaw is available to reach Karimganj DC office point by paying INR 20 or 30. From DC office point, once again Toto and Auto is available to reach Sutarkandi border by paying INR 30 or 40.
Remember to keep identity proof while visiting Sutarkandi Border. You may be asked to deposit identity proof to BSF personnel. Try to visit before 5pm as there may be restrictions after 5pm.
Good place for weekend tourist. Though there is a visitor waiting shed, but it was closed. Assam Tourism can take steps to develop tourist friendly environment to encourage tourism.
In my observation environment was not tourist friendly!
