There were areas in Faridpur with Hindu majority that should have been part of India. Nehru didn't give a shit about Bengal. Without Shyamaprasad we would have been part of Bangladesh. But on the other hand, upper castes must realize how Casteism is destroying the Hindus. Muslim League played Jogen Mondal perfectly, despite warnings from Ambedkar. Jogen Mondal eventually left East Pakistan for India. 'Annihilation of caste' is required in India.

@@buddhavivekanand7462 Absolutely bullshit. Upper Caste Hindus treated lower castes horribly over centuries. British maybe have exploited the situation, but to suggest British invented caste system is a blatant lie. That is the is a way of Hindu apologists to shift blame. Upper Caste Hindus must denounce caste, apologize to the lower castes for the mistreatment.

Sylhoti is a independent language its own. It's not a dialect or accent of Bengali language ! Sylhoti language also have its own letters called Sylhoti Nagri lipi. Sylhoti letters are totally different than Modern Bangla letters. Look at the difference between Bengali language and Sylhoti Nagri language. It's totally different. Sylhoti language is 900 hundred yeras old and Bengali language is only 500 years old. Based on the history Bengali language came from Sylhoti language. Before 1947 Sylhot use to be part of Assam. After 1947 Sylhot became part of East Pakistan (Bangladesh) by voting.Sylhoti people vote to Pakistan to become part of East Pakistan (Bangladesh) because Sylhoti people was Muslim. Sylheti people didn’t vote to become part of Assam because they were Hindu. The main reason for Sylhot being separated from Assam is only religion. But Assamese and Sylhoti people share the same culture and language except for religion. When the European, Middle eastern traders and Islamic saints came to Sylhot to preach the Islam religion to the Native Sylhoti Hindu people. A lots of Native Hindu Sylhoti people converted to Islam 700 hundred years ago and got married with those Foreigner people. That’s how Islam came to Bangladesh. Sylhoti people are very mix race. Sylhot's old name use to be (Sri Hatta) means (gorgeous market) cuz Sylhot was a one of the best Beautiful business place for all foreign traders in the Indian subcontinent. Then they change the name into Sylhot to make it easy for everyone. Then Dhakaiya people officially misnamed it (Sylhet) like they want to call. The real and correct name is Sylhot. If you have time, go through this website so you can learn the real history of Sylhoti language and Bengali language. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJTLlYGEftZlesk

The entire presentation portrayed Sylhet becoming a part of Bangladesh a wrong thing. But the people currently living in Sylhet, it is a blessing. Cz there is no caste differences, no violence & Sylhet is way ahead of Assam in terms of progress and economy. People of Karimganj actually regret being part of India, cz they don't have cultural similarities with rest of Assam (let alone india). And the govt of India doesn't give importance to northeastern region.

Sylhet was never a part of Pala Empire and Gour Kingdom of the Sena dynasty. It was rather a part of the Harikela Kingdom and Srihatta Kingdom. Entire Assam including Barak Valley was a part of the Harikela Kingdom. Barak Valley was also a part of the Srihatta Kingdom. Source- Copper plates of Chandra kings and the Bhatera copper plates. Yes Gopinath Bordoloi of Assam gave away Sylhet to Pakistan including the Chittagong Hill Tracts. Assam Province had two native Bengali districts namely Sylhet and Cachar. Out of these two districts only Sylhet was partitioned. A referendum was held in the district so as to decide whether the district would remain within India or would join East Pakistan. The responsibility to carry out the referendum was on the shoulders of Congress leaders of Assam headed by Gopinath Bordoloi who later became the first chief minister of Assam State. Bordoloi did not allow the Hindu Adivasis of Sylhet to participate in the voting process of the referendum on the ground that they were not the natives and that the British brought them into Sylhet district from outside. However the British also brought some Muslims into the district from outside and these Muslims were very much allowed by Bordoloi to participate in the voting process. The natives of Sylhet were promised that the voting process would take place in the presence of security forces but during the actual voting process not enough security personnel were provided by Bordoloi. No additional security personnel were brought into the district from outside and astonishingly many security personnel from the district were sent elsewhere. Not enough voting polls were provided in the district and those that were provided were located in the Muslim majority areas alone. Gopinath Bordoloi has been awarded the Bharat Ratna. I strongly oppose it because of his discriminatory behavior towards Hindu Bengalis of Sylhet district. Bordoloi even did not raise the issue of the Chittagong Hill Tracts that had predominantly Buddhist Chakma majority before the Radcliffe Commission even after repeated directions from the Congress Working Committee. As a result the region was awarded to Pakistan by Radcliffe. 44% area of Sylhet was awarded to India by Radcliffe because India received around 44% votes in the referendum. However in reality India received only 12.8% area. The remaining 31.2% area is still within Bangladesh which is legally Indian territory as per the Border Demarcation by Radcliffe. Therefore there should be no doubt in anybody's mind regarding that. This issue was also raised multiple times in the Parliament by 4 MPs from Assam. This territory is still legally Indian territory after the Land Boundary Agreement between India and Bangladesh in 2015. The agreement is all about enclaves where as this territory is not an enclave. This territory is not even mentioned in the Land Boundary Agreement. In 2017 the eastern wing of the External Affairs Ministry has advised our leaders not to leave the demand.

And kudos to the person at the last minute for giving the straightmost answer, without beating around diplomatic bush , stating about hindu religionists having only 1 avenue unlike another religion having 50+ avenues to choose from. What CAB welcomes is the least that, it hopes to refactor the unsung damage done to the partitioned bengali hindus, the biggest victims since partition. India on this day would have been an undivided india, if the country wasn't divided just for the filthy interest of few cunning politicians, by the name of religion. @@sylotibaha830 you mentioned everything which differentiates both your highly esteemed language from the sweetest language of the world, which is Bangla. For your info, the oldest language of the world is the language spoken in the first civilization which is the highest civilization as well, the divine language. Sanskrit was started after this civilization ceased to exist. But all the languages in this mortal world originated from Sanskrit, even yours Asamese and Sylhoti. Now your finding of claiming Asamese and Sylhoti are earlier than Bangla, is not without gaps, which you tried to fill with your own ideas. Remember, the Maya language is as old as Sanskrit and may be even earlier, but Sanskrit gained importance, becoz Maya civilization ceased to exist. Language emerges from geographical conditions, living style and culture, the fooding habits and the agriculture on the location. It does not prove, one language is greater than other, as one has come earlier and other later. Please be informed, that the later languages, English, Spanish & Chinese are more spoken than Sankrit, which is dying as one of the political leader from South India remarked. Sir, Gopinath Bordolai then Assam Premier was main responsible for Referendum of Sribhumi {Sylhet}. Sir, Have you forgotten that thousands of Bengalee Hindus were not allowed to cast their votes due to hooliganism of Muslim League leaders and their supported. Chappa votes{Chappa ballot papers} supplied by the then Congress govt of Assam itself from Shillong Government press as the Shillong was the capital of Assam..Moreover large number of Bengalee hinduder of Sylhet district who were govt ang tea garden employees working in Brahmaputra Velley being deprived of their voting rights in this so called referendum. Not only this all trains were also not allowed to run into Sylhet for 3 days,as a result they were not able to come to cast their vote in favour of India. You told many ballot boxes had not been reached in counting centre. Then why Gopinath Bordolai didn't protest.? Thus it is justified that Gopinath was also partner of Jinnah and responsible for miseries. Gopinath's intention was Assamese majorities in Assam only. Sylhet was Bengalee majority district so Gopinath betrayed with Indian Territory.

CAA is not for indian religionists only as Christianity was not born in India. Second, having muslim population in majority doesnot make any country to become pakistan. Pakistan, in present day , is a result of long politico-moral turpitude and instability and vested interests of some people. For example, UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia all are countries with muslim population in majority and equating them with pakistan is manifestation of utter foolishness. Migration has always been a part of human existence. Though logistical and economical capacity of a state decide the degree of migration in present times, thats why we have laws to regulate migration. But it is observed that religion and cultures are also used as criteria to regulate migration. This ,indeed, is a result of the phobia of losing the culture in the event of facing the people belonging to some other culture. One thing which has to be taken into consideration that migration is bound to happen and with migration, culture is bound to evolve. Prevailing culture is not perennial and is bound to change. Deterrence to evolution always leads to a conflict. The need of the hour is cooperation among different groups of people which will not only enrich the culture but will also embolden amelioration. In the era of globalization, even surmising the non occurrence of migration is risible.

It becomes a separated independent language. Sylhoti language even has It's own grammar and vocabulary too and It's not even a dialect of Bangla. That implies that I don’t have the full details and would myself wish to know more. We can also state that based on the actions of other Indian Muslim leaders of that time it should not really come as a surprise. Please consider that such statements are never a cause for celebration but sad reflection on our recent history, those who came to power and those who put them in those positions. That if Nehru and Gandhi’s legacy can be questioned then, why would that of these after all small fry not be? People love smoking but love or not there is a high correlation with cancer. @@testdemo4200 Thank you, It was a suggestion for further investigation, never a counter claim, counter argument or statement of fact. If I could, I’d have investigated it further myself. My father was a Sikh and had no personal interest in Bengal. He was however quite politically, culturally and historically aware. His comments on Nehru, Gandhi and the direction of the education ministry made well over 50 years ago have only now become part of common discourse. As a Sikh he was pained to see how it had been subject to wilful fracture from Indian/Hindu society and culture. His insight was plainly visible in the Khalistan debacle of the eighties and in the hateful language used by Sikhs with regard to their own parental culture today. With regard to Dr Zakir Hussain, my point is if Nehru and Gandhi themselves are suspect character, and those such as Maulana Azad and Iqbal merely fit the Islamist aspiration mold then it really is no big deal for Zakir Hussain etc to tow a similar line and should be of no great surprise to anyone. To investigate is to determine the events not to cast assertions. Outcomes either way are therefore acceptable. The subject of this talk is after all investigative and that is what historical research is about.

Worse, or at least as idiotic, than this happened with CHT, where just to keep a "buffer" for Chattagram, 99% Hindu-Buddhist majority regions were given to East Pakistan. The real reason behind this insanity was that by 1947, British rule was actually Punjab based, even though it originally started from Bengal. Jinnah was obsessed with Kashmir and just to compensate for Kashmir, Pakistan was given territory in the East. British and Congress-led Nehru, both were interested in Punjab-Kashmir and not really in Bengal. Muslim League, which originated in Bengal as a mere coincidence was just used as a lever to sabotage the Independence movement during the Quit India movement. However, generally speaking, I believe that partition actually worked out more in favour of Hindus than against.

The whole video is full of lies. @ 5:45 he says there were '4 main divisions of Sylhet' which is a lie because there were actually 5 main subdivisions of Sylhet. He conveniently completely ignores Karimganj District which was also a subdivision of Sylhet and the majority of voters in that district voted to be part of East Bengal alongside the rest of the majority of voters of the whole region of Sylhet in the 6-7 July referendum of 1947. So, why was Karimganj District cut-off from Sylhet and handed to Assam? Also, why was Hailakandi District which was contiguous to East Bengal and had a large Muslim majority not given to East Bengal as per the terms of the Partition Agreement, or at least, why was there no referendum held there to decide whether it should be part of East Bengal or Assam?

As a human being every one should have a freedom of choosing religion, practice of religion. It is the fundamental human rights you are violating.

Not true, its happening live under RSS BJP. Turning facts on its head replacing with stories, half truthz, lies and fabrication. And their suporters all believe in these silly conspiracy theories with no backing. So mant times they have challenged evidence based research without any reason and respond with stupid counters again without any factual backing. Modi said so it must be true, all emotional blackmail.

Bengalis has been trying to kill Sylhoti language for more than 50 years and insulting Sylhoti language by calling It a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti scripts are 2 thousand years old and Bangla is only 5 hundred years old. Sylhoti is a tonal language and Bangla is a non tonal language. Bangla has nothing to do with Sylhoti. Due to the dominant political reason of Bangladesh, Bengali speakers don’t want to recognize Sylhoti as a different language. But we Sylhoti people know Sylhoti is not a dialect of Bengali cuz when a dialect can developed It's own writing system and grammar It's no longer a dialect. It becomes a separated independent language. Sylhoti language even has It's own grammar and vocabulary too and It's not even a dialect of Bangla. Sylhoti language has nothing to do with Bengali language. Sylhoti language has all kinds of qualifications and features be a separated independent language.

Bangla was a dialect unit British rulers gave a recognition to be an independent language.Bangla stole a lot of vocabulary from Sylhoti and Assamese. Bangla grammar was directly copied from Sanskrit grammar. If Bangla was a language like Sylhoti it would have it’s own pronunciation like Sylhoti grammar. Assamese and Sylhoti r sister language. They r related to each other cuz they were born from Sanskrit2 thousand years ago.Bangla is only500 years old. Assamese script has the same writing system as Bangla. They r the first one who used Eastern Nagri to write Assamese language before Bangla. Bangla doesn’t even has it’s own writing system. The Alphabet they use for Bangla it’s call Eastern Nagri.Hindi is call Deva Nagri and Sylhoti writing system is call Sylhoti Nagri. Bengali scholars think Charjapad is the oldest Bangla script and It's only500years old. They also said all Charjapad's writers were Sylhoti n Assamese. The first Bangla grammar was written by Ishwar Chandra only400 years agoThey copied everything directly from Sanskrit grammar but Sylhoti has it’s own. It's proved by Scholars Bangla was a dialect of Sylhoti and Assamese.Until they got recognition from British.Proof is nobody speak the writen Bangla. The 2 thousand years old Sylhoti language and today's Sylhoti language is the same language that we speak everyday. Sylhoti is a tonal language and Assamese is a non tonal language. Bangla is also a non tonal language. Again Bangla was a dialect of mix Assamese and Sylhoti. Sylhoti is not a dialect of Assamese that's why it doesn’t sound like Assamese. Do u want to make an online public debate video for Tiktok and KZbin with me? I'll prove u Bangla is no more than 500 years old broken dialect?

It’s one sided story. Speaker should have mentioned opinion from both sides, or reference to books written in Bangladesh. At the time migration was from religious perspective, and he already mentioned there was no communal violence. People wanted to move that’s it. At the end, sorry to see the questions were raised in a way that it was forced migration. This was to fit the narrative of current political landscape of CAA supporters. The speaker also completely ignore that many Muslims also voted for remaining India. That time congress with Muslim leaders did large campaign to get Muslim vote for remaining India. I think for this kind of talk you should analyse from both side. Not to include from current political perspective. History should be seen from that time perspectives. After going through the videos from this channel, turns out it is created to give one side stories, working for one agenda. One of the talk is on prophet of Islam and given by anti-Muslim writer. You could imagine what the channel is for. And most of videos are anti-Muslim, and to support Indian is for only Hindus or Indian religions which is not what congress was fighting for independence. I am from Silchar / Barak valley living in Sweden. And my mother language is Manipuri not sylheti. This is a perspective from outside. At the end, speaker made very good content and with some agenda that was further revealed at the end of Q & A.

@@ant430 Huge difference between dialects and language. Irish and English is same because the speak same language and both can understand each other because it's only the dialects.
