Sutherland Springs mass shooting survivors and DOJ reach $144.5 million settlement

The Justice Department and victims of the 2017 Sutherland Spring mass shooting in Texas have reached a tentative $144.5 million settlement in a case arguing the U.S. government bears some responsibility for the attack. NBC News’ Ken Dilanian details the agreement that will end a years-long battle for the survivors and families of the 26 people killed in the shooting.

2023 Stabbings USA 1,964 UK 53 CAN 177 MEX 4,700 AUS 119 NZ 18. NZ 18 x 66 to match USA population = 1,188 or 776 less stabbings than the US. Is the US experiencing an increase in knife-related crime mixed with the increase in gun crime?
