Are you kidding me? She wasn't classically trained until Thoroughly Modern Millie? That blows me away. She is AMAZING. I seriously would have thought she was trained from being a young child with her power house voice.

tbf, that's probably because of the fact that so many of the original lyrics were unfortunately cut. I get why they'd cut them, as most people wouldn't get the references they're making
@SamuraiCypher2 жыл бұрын
This isn’t the full song. Plus, all the references in the song would be long long long lost to today’s audience.

She is the ONLY person that can hit that last "goes" note I have NEVER heard a production that had a reno who sang it that well good job Sutton

She hit that last note eight times a week AFTER an almost seven minute dance break that she lead- just sayin'
@mmbr01rrf9 жыл бұрын
Flawless Modeling well she didn't hit that "e" last night- it was a note about 2 octaves lower. Please, Sutton take care of your instrument. (Yes, I know it's supposed to just be largynitis.)

Without amplification, Ethel Merman hit Jupiter with the note.

This one girl named Mila, she is an amazing belter and she played Reno when she was a Junior in high school. Not only did she hold that note but in Blow Gabriel Blow, she made the note higher and held it. Higher then what Sutton sings. It was so strong and pure.

Sutton Foster is my hero, I've only taken to theatre now but so far EVERY single person has told me that without formal singing and dancing experience and training before the age of 15 I would never make it. Was discouraged for some time but this just proves that if you dedicate yourself and work as hard as humanly possible 365 days a year, anything goes
@gyrozeppeli2896 жыл бұрын
Darcy Bhaiwala I just started learning how to dance, it's the effort put in. Some people have been dancing for years but don't get the part. It's the patience, it's the effort. I know people who only started dancing at 18 and successfully landed roles at Broadway by age 20. Don't put yourself down, you're a triple threat once you try hard.

I'm in a class of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics curriculum. I'm going to be in 11th grade (Senior High School) this August and I've been so inlove with musicals but I also love science and math though. And I think theater is the right path to my future. I wanna pursue Arts and Design curriculum this opening school year. I just hope I can make it because it will kinda be a new environment for me, since I've never been doing these before when I was a Junior High School. I'm kinda nervous too.

@@iamsherk2605 holy shit I’ve never related to a comment more. I’m still in high school but really want to do something with sciences, I’ve been really interested in bacteriology for example, but a part of me desperately wants to do theatre and musicals and everything. But the biggest thing is that if I go all in on drama and arts and don’t make it I’d feel like a failure and wasted potential in science. 🙂🙃

In olden days a glimpse of stocking Was looked on as something shocking, But now, God knows, Anything Goes. Good authors too who once knew better words, Now only use four letter words Writing prose, Anything Goes. If driving fast cars you like, If low bars you like, If old hymns you like, If bare limbs you like, If Mae West you like Or me undressed you like, Why, nobody will oppose! When every night, The set that's smart Is intruding in nudist parties in studios, Anything Goes. If saying your prayers you like, If green pears you like If old chairs you like, If back stairs you like, If love affairs you like With young bears you like, Why nobody will oppose! And though I'm not a great romancer And though I'm not a great romancer I know that I'm bound to answer When you propose, Anything goes... Anything goes!
