Thanks for the great review. You answered all the questions I had about the two different dive computers.

I would also like to say I purchased the bungie cord strap and don't use it. The bungie is designed to be set to one wrist size pretty much. I found that impractical when dry suit diving and going on holiday to warm water so the included watch band strap is more than suffice and allows you to tighten to the proper size. DO NOT CUT the extra strap length, just run it through the strap loop and then back a second time so its not flopping around towards the dive computer, it tucks away nicely. The comment from the video stating no wall charger was included is not a negative. Any one buying this kind of gear already has a had full of USB chargers, we really don't need yet another one to throw out into the land fill some day. Besides you can purchase a USB wall charger for few bucks at a local quick stop if you really need a charger. I agree use the screen protector and purchase a spare (only one included in the retail box and that is fair) for your save a dive kit to have on hand.

Just bought an Eon Steel as an upgrade to my watch. Yes, it is big and heavy but it does a wonderful job while in the water!

Great video...it really informed my choice. I previously had the Vyper Novo, but this should help my older eyes out. Thanks for what you do.....it's helpful to a new diver like me

Perry. I would be very interested in your comparison between the Vyper Novo and the Eon Core. I also have a Vyper Novo and am thinking of changing to the Core. Thanks !

thanks for this review..I do recreational diving only and I find the price of Eon Core is about $200 less than the PERDIX .. what's your advice? thanks

Nice review but @3:12 Eon core screen not customizable? Could be that this vid is already a few years old but now (maybe after couple of updates) complete screen is fully customizable. Just a remark. And I agree, great dive computer.

I have the eon steel. And my wife has the core. So easy to use. I do think the eon steel is a masculine computer. But both are fantastic

Good comments...you can however modify/ customize the display using the app!!!

Hi, what would you recommend between Mares Genius and the Suunto eon core for an advanced diver ? Many thanks
@50ftBelow4 жыл бұрын
Not that much experience with the Genius but from what I've seen I would go for the Eon Core. Simply a great computer for a great price

Hi, Do you have any tips to remove glares on the screen on shallow, sunny dives ? Thanks

You can buy an Antiglare phone screen protector and cut it to size.

Why does no one mention the fact that the EON Steel has almost double the depth rating (150 metres) of the EON Core (80 metres)? I know it's completely irrelevant for recreational diving, but for a computer in the same price bracket as the Shearwater Perdix AI (260 metres) this seems one important distinguishing difference.

Preferences between Aqualung i770 versus Suunto Eon Core?
@50ftBelow4 жыл бұрын
I've only seen the I770 once but did a lot of dives with the i750 which was the previous model. In one word the i750 was terrible! If you are considering the i770 please make sure you do a couple of dives with it before buying or ask someone who owns it. Otherwise go for the Eon core. A stellar computer!

How does it compare to the g2?
@50ftBelow6 жыл бұрын
Both are great computers but we favor the Eon Core because of the better screen. The G2 has a bit more options on it but most divers won't notice the difference because they are all used in technical diving.

Numbers such as 5.4 are pretty useless if you do not use any units... 5.4 what?
