@a77gascan You're welcome. Thanks for the feedback. Hope you enjoy the Casio.

@richardmilk I'm not really sure but I imagine that the air pressure sensor in the watch is quite sensitive if it measures altitude changes in three foot increments. So if there's a gust of wind or the pressure drops momentarily, then that would most likely show up as an altitude difference on the display. That's my best guess. Nice to hear that you like the video. Thanks!

I've been wearing the PAG40 wristwatch for over a year and never really knew how to use some of the functions. I know this was just a test video, but I want you to know that i learned a lot information with this video, thanks.

@simonspiers That's a good question. I don't have enough experience using the watches in changing altitudes and temperatures to answer that. I just read the manuals. Casio manual warns that temperature changes will throw off the altitude reading. The Suunto manual warns that weather changes will effect the accuracy. That could mean air temp. and pressure. Which watch do you have? Have you noticed this inaccuracy?

Thanks! I do like it here. Interesting to hear how it reacted in the cold. Hope you had a great trip.

@truemartian1 My only suggestion is to try the "4-button reset" on the watch. Simultaneously holding the buttons at the four "corners" of the watch will reset it. If that doesn't work, I'd head to the source and ask Suunto. Good luck.

Great video. Is it my impression or the Suunto first indicated 350ft and then 367ft at the same place? Why is that?

GPS uses satellites to measure altitude. On my device there's still a margin of error though.

@nappypant Only the Core has a depth gauge and it works to about 30ft (10m) of depth. If you don't go deeper than 30ft., I'd say it would be a good bet.

Excellent video, very useful and beautiful place. I am thinking of buying me the casio. Thank you for your help.

@truemartian1 The Core is the only Suunto watch I have experience with so I don't have any more info on which to base a choice within the Suunto line. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

@HennesseyViperGTS I don't have a Vector but that comparison sounds like a good idea. Thanks for the tip.

Is the GPS measuring pressure or satellites for altitude?

Bonjour So which one is the best ?
@nikudes5 жыл бұрын
In the years since I made this video, I think the Casio is the better watch. In my opinion it's easier to read, easier to operate, and looks better.
