The first time I saw something that looked weird on a satellite map and drove to see what it is, was that sinkhole. I went from the other side, starting across the highway from the campground where the video began. Not the most interesting adventure compared to what I've done since, but in a weird way it kind of kickstarted my taste for exploring by vehicle. Cool to see it here on video.

The plan was to drive it through the canyon the way you did, but the road was heavily damaged by rains about halfway through. Impassable for just about any vehicle. So I turned back and took the long way around and through the gorge 👍

@Brandonbdk Жыл бұрын
@@MaxZomboni what makes it illegal?
@MaxZomboni Жыл бұрын
@@Brandonbdk 1. Interstates are controlled access highways. You are only allowed to enter and exit on the numbered entrance and exit ramps. That was clearly not a numbered exit ramp. 2. He didn't film it, but the only way he could have gotten back on the Interstate was the same way he got off. Which would have caused him to enter the interstate in the wrong direction and then have to make an illegal U-Turn to go the right direction. So to answer your question. 1. Illegally exiting the Interstate. 2. Illegally entering the Interstate (not filmed) 3. Driving the wrong direction on the interstate (not filmed) 4. Making an illegal U-Turn on the Interstate (not filmed). 5. Possibly reckless driving. That would be at least a $1000 in fines and would probably be enough to get your license suspended.

You are doing a great job, I watch all your videos; fishing ones too. You “keep fish wet”, and are preservation and conservation aware, so I was surprised when you didn’t pack out any of the litter in the sink hole. Please encourage people to get in that habit and teach others to do it by example. Yes, people are horrible, but they can be influenced, and you are in fact a positive “influencer”, which is worthwhile and something to be proud of. Nobody has to do it all, but every bit helps.

You were in a geologically unique area where the Great Basin meets the Mojave Desert and the Colorado Plateau. So much amazing terrain to cover. I share your ire at places like the sinkhole where the braindead amused themselves by defiling a natural wonder. I don't understand that kind of behavior and I'm kind of glad I don't. But how incredibly cool to just stop, take off your backpack and notice the sharpening grooves in the sandstone! I've been to places like that and share your wonder in the thought that someone 1,000 years ago might have been sitting there and getting the same view -- minus the interstate. Thanks for another great trip.

I just drove around in the Arizona strip. We went over 100 miles on the roads and never saw another vehicle. Very diverse areas went from snow to dessert with cactus, Joshua trees, cedar trees.. My hats off to your commitment to tell the story in video. I know to get the distance shots of you hiking you had to 1. Hike to place the camera. 2. hike to get yourself in the shot 3. Hike back to get the camera. 4. Then hike back to the spot where your trek left off. I don't know if the people watching this know how much effort goes into being a "one man" film crew. In the end it tells a great story. Well Done.
